  1. @Zzyzx ... check out these lights http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIREFIGHTER-FLAMING-SKULL-LED-Logo-Lights-vehicle-doors-Puddle-Lights-/111509222120?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19f677b2e8
  2. Yes, was great meeting you too but I'm mad at you now because you showed all those lights on your scoot and now I have to go and spend more :mo money:to do that to mine!
  3. Who had the black Victory? I don't recall seeing it.
  4. I've never owned a Harley but have gone to their demo days almost every year since the late 90's. Mostly rode the Ultra Glides but have also rode the Dyna and my son has a 1200 Sportster which I've ridden several times. Never felt vibration once other than when stopped there is some in the handle bars.
  5. I bought an '03 GL1800 Wing a few years ago and sold my RSMV. The Wing I had, had the Traxxion suspension front and rear plus a performance exhaust system. That thing handled like a sport bike. Loved the smooth power and it pulled our Lees-ur Lite tent trailer effortlessly. Unfortunately it had an alternator drive gear problem that required the engine to be pulled plus it felt like a car on 2 wheels to drive. Nothing wrong with that but I really wanted the look and feel of a "motorcycle" and loved the Victory XCT. I'd have one again maybe when i get tired of my Victory (which will be a day after never LOL).
  6. Yes, a big thanks to Vic and Nanc for all the work they did putting this event on. :thumbsup2: What would we do without folks like this that put forth the effort to bring us all together. It was great meeting you and Gabby and sharing time at the lake with you as well as meeting all the others who attended, most of which I don't remember their names (it's my one and only fault ... LOL).
  7. It's an old First Nations (natives) derivative meaning "white man in red uniform with wide brimmed hat" (aka the Royal Mounted Police before we became Canada); however, it was adopted by our own Vancouver hockey team known as the Vancouver Canucks and that's how we all became known as "Canucks" ..... (hell, I don't know but I figure my scenario sounded good LOL)
  8. hahaha I bought the Pro 16 G package which lists for $122.95.
  9. I got the Pro 16 G plus a few extra accessories such as the universal helmet mount. I do have a RAM mount for it but I'd only recently ordered it and it was sitting at my drop location in Blaine. I picked it up this morning and did a test vid and it works great.
  10. you can start with a "K" if you like but it really begins with a "C" ... Canuck... as Can ada .. Can uck ... get it? You got Canuckleheads right ... I mean the spelling ..
  11. I'm sure GoPro has features this one doesn't but the Mobius sure takes good vids ... and I didn't even try the 720 - 50 fps setting. (was shooting at 1080p, 30fps in wide angle) I would have liked some way to start/stop it remotely coz the little buttons are really hard to find when it's mounted to the helmet and even when you do find them, you're never sure if you got it turned off/on without actually looking at the indicator lights. Such was the case when I video'd myself in the john! LOL ... thankfully I know how to edit the vid hahaha
  12. Sure would have liked to go with you! Enjoy and be safe guys! Was great riding with you both and much enjoyed your company!
  13. Keep coming back as I will be linking several more vids...

  16. Just a quick post for now so y'all know I'm home safe and sound albeit a bit worn out. 17 Hours in the saddle yesterday! Left Florence, OR and headed inland. Was supposed to take route 99W north and then 26 over to Seaside but somehow got onto 99E and wound up in Portland. Got lost there trying to find route 26 but eventually did. Got to Seaside and headed for Astoria where I'd planned to stop for the night but it was still early so kept on going. Plan was to continue on route 101 and work my way to Port Townsend, WA, stopping over night somewhere. Got mixed up again and missed a turnoff on the freeway ... ended up in Olympia on I-5. As it was around 6PM I decided to just shoot for home ... landed around 11:15PM. More to come with pics and vids .... maybe tomorrow or the next day once I've had time to organize things. EDIT - Vids can be found here --> http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?105768-Venture-West-2015-Vids-and-link-to-pics&p=920402#post920402
  17. Assuming of course that I'll be able to sleep tonight because tomorrow morning I'm "away from home alone" for 8 days !!!
  18. I was born 6 months afterwards. 12/28/2006 On 6/7/2006 I was just about to start my first day at my new job (which I am currently at still) and was making wedding plans with my then to be wife Nina ... we got married Aug .... uhhhh... lemme think ... uhhhh ah yes, it was Aug 12th 2006!! So 2006 was, in many ways, a memorable year to say the least!
  19. That was the first "big bike" I ever rode. I was very inexperienced at the time, gave it too much gas, popped the clutch and .... up came the front wheel and straight into a power pole I went! LOL
  20. I know this is an old thread but when I came across this I laffed out loud! Truer words were never spoken!
  21. For me it's RUM! LOL
  22. so, the question that comes to my mind is ..... WHAT DO YOU DO? Congrats to you both for enduring all the ups and downs for so many years. Very few relationships these days are strong enough to last such a long time.
  23. I've seen that before and it's well worth watching and getting others watching it. Therefore, I posted it on facebook with a request for everyone to feel free to share my post. The more we get the message out there, the safer our roads might be not only for us "bikers" but for everyone.
  24. Limit the use of US currency and use your credit card. Preferable to exchange for CAN money before you come and pay for incidentals with that. Using US currency, establishments might not give you as much of an exchange as a bank would. Due to the large gap between the CAN and US dollar now, I'm starting to see that places south of the border aren't accepting CAN money whereas they once did not so long ago. (course, that doesn't apply to you)

In that case, some might be interested in knowing what the other letters represented ... (but not me... of course)
