  1. Not sure about that yet Buddy. I was in Mena today and came through there last Sunday too. It was cloudy today and was remembering that wet ride we had last year.
  2. Well I have to admit it had to grow on me the Vision I don't think ever will but I haven't rode one. So have you ever taken one for a spin ? If you haven't don't unless you like the taste of crow
  3. Silver T is going to have to ride a little further south. http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=83641&stc=1&d=1398034051http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=83642&stc=1&d=1398034051http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=83643&stc=1&d=1398034051
  4. Oh yeah I forgot
  5. Well I went and did it. Just couldn't take that poor slow speed handling anymore especially after I discovered that it didn't have to be that way. Took a test ride on one in Daytona and just loved the handling. So I pulled the plug Saturday the 12th. Logged a little over 1k since then and starting to get familiar with it. The transmission shifts a lot better once you get used to it. With a little added preload with your foot before shifts there as smooth as glass. Just takes practice to do it repeatedly. It's not nearly as comfy as the RSV the wife lost some of her room but I still have plenty. Biggest complaint is the seat I'm going to give Rick a call and see if he can help us before we try and aftermarket. As far as cooling I feel the heat factor is as good if not a little better than the RSV it hit 80 today and it never was uncomfortable. Wind protection is good with stock shield and rain protection is pretty close to the RSV but we only rode in a lite shower bringing it home. Gas mileage 2 up is as good and maybe a little better according to the display but haven't put a calculator to it yet still having to much fun. I don't think I will miss the Venture as much as I thought I would. Vincent
  6. Buddy if Joan spoiled him anymore than he already is I don't think we could stand him. :Crazy_139:
  7. I'm sure Herb appreciates it going to a good home
  8. I won't go into a lot of detail but if it was J&P cycles forget it. I ordered a part after talking to there tech dept. long story short it wasn't what the tech stated and because the conversation was not recorded the only way they would make it good was for me to pay the shipping twice which would have driven the cost up of the part past what the correct part would have cost.
  9. I thought cleaning and preparing your game for the table yourself was all part of the hunting experience. These things teach character and the value of life. Now I'm not downing anyone who has a deer processed that knows how to do it. But I would be willing to bet that out of that many deer some young person missed out. There are programs for hunters to feed the hungry and they have provided a lot of nutrition for those in need. Better for that meat to warm someones belly than to rot on the side of the road. Not sure of the temps. there but down here half of that meat would be spoiled before 3 guys could take care of it.
  10. The VR Members map is not showing any pins for me. Another member asked me about this also as it was not working for him. Using Mozilla Firefox.
  11. If a Venture is what you decide on this would be a good one. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4826&title=1999-rsv-for-sale&cat=4
  12. Maybe there all on Facebook ? Discussing the International rally No one is signed up on the calender here @ VR.ORG. hmmm and from the official IR thread there are a lot of folks registering. I don't FB so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. But I have also noticed the drop as of late and it didn't seem to be this slow last year at this time. On second thought I think I have the answer Condor and that is we got the Garage all finished. So that has to be it.
  13. Chevy maybe getting in on the trike game as well http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=80853&stc=1&d=1383510641
  14. I don't think anybody will be telling you your bike is dirty anymore it's toasty. Glad your OK I would be interested in those passenger floor boards for the cost of shipping. I have a project in mind for my wife and need a guinea pig.
  15. Not sure how many miles is on your bike but the oil will build up over time and many oil changes. Just clean it up and you will be good to go.
  16. I bet Earl had your question answered quicker than you type it and posted it. Great guy
  17. Ventures just don't like trailers Just ask Condor. Glad your pride was the only thing hurt.
  18. Like Buddy said Paul it was a pleasure meeting you and I appreciate your participation. When people turn out for these events it makes all of the effort worth while. I'll will be looking at my schedule to try and work it out so we can ride to Cleveland together. Vincent
  19. Give John a call super nice guy and the guru of gear swaps http://rmsportmax.com/gateway.html
  20. Hey guys Art is having a problem getting his clutch to bleed after replacing his lines. He is trying to get ready to leave to come to the ARKLATX OK M&E tomorrow his screen name is "arharbi " and his number is in his profile if someone could give him a call.
  21. Have you removed the stainless rotor covers ? I have heard they could be a problem to get off.
  22. For what kind of bike are we modifying ?
  23. The problem will probably fix it self in a couple of months but seeing as your from Alabama it may linger on sporadically all winter or until you get SNOW:whistling:
  24. I tried it on my OEM shield didn't hurt it but I couldn't tell it helped either. Water beaded but it didn't run off any better. So knock yourself out with it.
  25. I always put my bicycle wheels on upside down never tried that on my motorcycle. What kind of inverter do you use.
