  1. Good job! Also, I like the color scheme of your bike; very nice indeed. So what's next? Cheers, Dan
  2. Be creative. Doesn't have to be Niagara Falls. I know of at least 2 Chinese food buffets nearby that have little water fall type things flowing into Koi ponds that I could probably get in a picture with the bike assuming an accomplice would hold open the front door for a minute. How about a garden center or fish store... What is the etiquette for getting your own targets if too much time passes without someone else scoring a hit? Is there guidelines for picking a new target if the current is too difficult? Don't want the game to get stalled after having a good bit of momentum going. Cheers, Dan
  3. You, your bike and a waterfall. Happy Hunting. Dan.
  4. Hey all, this is an extra special bonus for me. Finally picked up my 02 Venture today and went for a long ride to nowhere in particular. My wife spotted this little museum which was totally unexpected. So here is my first day with new bike scavenger hunt picture. Cheers, Dan http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z351/danzoom/BrunswickRailroadMuesum.jpg
  5. This idea is courtesy of the spouse; You and your bike in front of an old fashion barbershop complete with the white and red pole out front. Cheers, Dan
  6. We went for a shortish ride today. This first picture is of a water tower in my home town, but we thought it was really cool so we stopped for a picture anyways. The second picture is of a your run of the mill tower in Damascus MD. 7. Good job! I was planning to ride today, but it was just too windy. Sustained winds in the 30-40 mph and gusts over 60. While walking on the sidewalk to lunch today the wind actually knocked a lady down right in front of us. I have no leads for the next target, but that is what google is for. Cheers, Dan
  8. Well I have no excuse for not trying to get this one living and working where I do. I ride the bike to work each day and the office is only a few miles away from all the monuments in DC. Within 30 miles of my home is Antietam, Harpers Ferry (where I got the Q sign picture!), Gettysburg etc. Happy hunting.
  9. That is true, but unfortunately something is worth only what someone else is willing to pay. Next Saturday I'm picking the 02 RSV I just purchased with 50K miles. I did a huge amount of research before deciding to go with the RSV as my next bike. That research makes me not worried at all about buying the bike with 50k. But there are more of them for sale than buyers it seems so to get it sold it has to be a really good deal. I'm getting what I think is a lot of bike for little money Cheers, Dab
  10. Very helpful advice and much appreciated by us new to RSV folks. I recently test drove the 2002 RSV with 50,000 on it that I'll be picking up in a couple of weeks. It is at a great dealer that really encourages long test rides. I did 20 minutes solo and another 40 with the wife. It did have a bit of a subtle whine that I have read is common. It was just barely noticeable to me, but it really depends on what you are used to. When I asked the wife for her opinion, her only comment was that after riding many thousands of miles on the back of my Volusia with street rode cobra pipes, the Venture was very peaceful! Good luck!
  11. You and your bike at a drive through of some sort. Extra bonus points if you hand the person working the drive through window your camera and have them take the picture. Think the wife and I will be regulars on this thread. Great fun. Good luck!
  12. Can you still play if the bike in the picture isn't a Venture? This one is a Volusia. 13 more days until I pick up my new (new to me) 2002 RSV. These were taken today in Harpers Ferry WV in front of the White Hall Tavern. Can't think of much better with a Q than "Liquors Old and Mellow". Looking forward to meeting new venture riders and having fun with the scavenger hunt.
