The one that gets me the most is when your riding in rain and that car behind you just has to pass you...Which is cool because I'm usually not going to fast then .....But they have to pull right back over in your lane immediately after they pass...throwing up all kinds of spray on your windshield...All they have to do is stay in the passing lane another 50 yards or so....Then bring it over

I have the same,a 2003 650 Rincon. I have not ridden it much this summer. We have not had much rain and I got tired of eating dust.It gave me more RSV time though. Still waiting on the rain. We are planning a trip to WV to do some riding. I'm with ya on that Tim....I dont care for hot weather, dust and mosquitoes...When it turns too cold to ride the Venture (usually after Thanksgiving) Then I start riding the Rincon hard...I have alot more fun in the snow....And with the right riding gear...Have never really had a problem in the cold (and we ride in some really cold weather)...Since you have a Rincon and have any questions...You ought to check out Rinconriders.com....There's about 4500 of us on there...They have some slick little tricks to get that rinny hoppin.

Be careful after it's installed...When you start cornering it you will have a tendency to crank the throttle (in a right hand turn)...Hasnt happened to me ...But I have seen it happen and it's not pretty. What kind of ATV do ya have ?....I've got a 2003 Honda Rincon 650...Do most of my riding at Hatfield & McCoy and Wayne National Forest.

GOOD OIL FILTER a 1st Gen Venture?

NAPA Gold 4993 filter....Buyem 3 at a time....BEEN USING THEM FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS NOW. These are bolt on filters. -
Skid....There will be several of us camping out at the Brandywine Campground....The wife cant get off until Friday at 10am....Then were heading there...So if ya get a chance stop on by....Dont know which campsite we'll have....Just look for a bunch of hillbilly's....Should be 2 1300 FJR's, FZR, Kaw Concourse, 84 Goldwing, Roadking,and of course the Venture....

Getting ready to buy another tent ....wanting one this time that is a 2 person....Been eyeing the Eureka Timberline 2XT....or the Eureka Apex 2XT...anyone have any horror stories with either ? Been researching and they look like good tents for the money.

Finally made it back....Had a great time camping out....I had forgot how beautiful it is down there.....In all did around 1300 miles ....Took some of the roads some of you had suggested.. Did a lot of hopping over the border into Virginia..(Love Rt33 thru the mountains into Virginia) That has got to be one of my all time favorite set of twisties. There's a few pix in my signature (if it works) Got the Venture the dirtiest it has ever been took it up Dolly Sodz...Thought the thing was going to rattle apart ha!...Then took it up to Reddish Knob from the Sugar Grove side....Very dusty...Found out later I could come in from the Virginia side on paved road... Tell ya what it's hard to beat setting around an open campfire with friends and big ole T-bones on the grill with a few cold ones after a long day of riding... Liked it so well ...Were heading back down the weekend of the 19th to do it again..... Also.. if anyone get a chance take Rt 47 out of Parkersburg (WOW!) Very nice...Take it all the way untill you hit Rt 33....Nice twisties and switchbacks...

Thanks very much for the encouragement fellas....I will take what all have said in consideration.....Well got to get ready....Leaving for Brandywine campground in about an hour......Should be back on Monday....Never camped out on a bike trip before.....should be interesting... I just plan on being a company driver....Would like to find something regional....But it looks like you almost have to go OTR to get some experience. Something with 7 on / 7 off... would be great....I have always put 50+ hours in a week for years...Dont mind putting in long hours...as long as I can have long hours off....(got to have time to ride the bike, atv, hunt , fish ).....and oh yea.......Time for my wife....Whew! bought screwed up there.... Have already applied for UPS/ Fedex routes...but so far ...no bites

It wasnt so much about the rules or laws...I guess I just got the jitters about getting on the road...I consider myself a very good driver with 32 years of driving without an accident....Just wondering is it worth the stress ? Is it going to leave me enough time do go riding ? I've talked to a couple of recruiters and thats what they are...They just want to tell you want you want to hear....Is the insurance decent ? I guess what I'm trying to ask is that I'm now going on 48 yrs old...Is this to late of a start to make a career out of it ? Dont really know anyone that drives for a living. Midnight Rider I was a Process Engineer Tech. (degreeless) For Keystone Powdered Metal ....We designed and installed prototype die sets in Cincinnati Rigid Reflex Molding Presses....We formed transmission Clutches, timing gears, parking brakes a lot of things that you wouldnt think were made out of powdered metal under very high pressures....We had 4 separate companies...But due to the lack of domestic car buying and Ford kept changing their design prototypes eventually leading to the closing of my company at the Columbus plant. Just wondering if anyone out there drove for a living ?....I just graduated from Southern State Community College Truck Driving Academy.... Got the Hazmat,double,triples, tanker endorsement's....Was not easy...But my job of 16 yrs. went down the drain due to Ford's incompetence...Thought I might give driving a shot...Got a few questions if anyone does.

Me and a few other fella's are going to be camping out at the Brandywine campground near the West Virginia / Virginia border ....Anyone have any idea of some nice twisties in the area ? Were leaving this coming Thursday morning and not coming back until probably Monday. Finally getting a chance to try out my new Bivy tent, sleeping bag, and a new LED lantern I just got....
