I must admit Some challenges like this particular one are just too strenuous. Times like this its best to fold em and leave it to those who have the greater expertise when it comes to sleeping and snoring, specially those who throw in daily naps to help fine tune their snoring skills. BTW there is a big difference between wanting to be #1 and just plain being #1 at somethings that come naturally like being a great hugger. On the snoring front however there is some pretty stiff competition to which I know I could not hold a candle, so no point in even entering. Best to save my energy for other things that I may be better suited for.

I am going to have to back down on that challenge. I have it from a reliable source that on the rare occasion that I begin to snore, I stop myself by changing positions.

The funeral was small but quite the ceremony as Bob Was first honored by the military for his service to his country followed by a respectful tribute by the Patriot Guard riders as they paid their respects and finally an organized tribute line by the rest of us as we paid our respects to a Man that was a friend a patriot and probably one of the most helpful people I ever had the pleasure of getting to know. The funeral procession was all that he deserved as his glass motorcycle drawn hearse was led by a motorcade of motorcycle riders both Patriot guard followed by Venture riders and then followed by friends and relatives in cars. I was glad I was able to be there as we laid his body to rest. Fare thee well Bongbobny as you take your promised place by the Father above.

I agree regarding the bounce test I am not a fan of this test as there can be too many variables affecting the outcome. The proper way to set the bearings is using a torque wrench. Loosen off the nuts, then torque the 1st nut to 36 ftlbs while rotating the handle bars from side to side this properly sets the bearing cups in their seats. then loosen off completely and re-torque to 2.2 ftlbs Tighten the jam nut finger tight then while holding the adjusting nut tighten the jam nut until the slots line up. finally tighten the crown nut to 80 ftlbs. This method will suffice if a torque wrench is not available. Tighten the adjusting nut, while turning the handle bars from left to right, until you feel a very heavy drag on the bars. Loosen the nut, and then re-tighten just until the lash or play in the bearing disappears. tighten the jam nut with your fingers until it bottoms and then continue to tighten until the slots line up. Finally tighten the crown nut, just be careful not to over-tighten to the point were you can damage the threads. In either case once done you should be able to move the handle bars WITH NO WEIGHT ON THE FRONT WHEEL with a feather light touch, while at the same time not being able to feel any bearing movement when you pull back and forth on the handle bars. Anther good indicator of the bearings being too loose is while rolling at a slow speed lock the front brake hard. If there is any bearing play you will feel it.

When you get into that wobble number one is do not panic number two is don't make any sudden moves slowly ease off the throttle and and steer until it comes steady again don't back off all of a sudden because if you do it could actually increase the wobble.

Now Marcarl I do believe I stated why I posted it early so the Americans can get to work on their passports or do you not want them to come in case @BIG TOM comes too. Since we're combining the Canadian and the American rallies next year we may as well get him up here so he can see how nice we really are. As if there was ever any doubt.

Initially the first kit I got was called plastex and that I got when Carl had a rep do a demo at one of his earlier meet and greets in 2006. When I had my accident in 2007 and I used it up and needed more, I found Home Hardware carried it. Later when they stopped carrying it (I guess because no one really new what it was and its potential ) and I needed more Plus the original source Carls Rep worked for was gone, I looked on Line and found Aircraft spruce carried it under the name Plasti-fix and then found out there was an Aircraft spruce right by Carl's house so naturally I had to tell him about it because I new he loved the stuff as much as I did. The look on his face when I told him there was a source right by his house was priceless. You would have thought I handed him a whole dime which to a Dutchman is a whole lot of money. Back in 2007 when my bike was written off and I bought it back from the insurance, I used two whole Plasti-fix kits to rebuild the trunk, saddlebags, side fairings and front fairings. The left front fairing is actually made up of an upper and lower half of two different fairings I joined together. I used the included mold blocks to make molds in order to replace broken and/or missing tabs. this is done by warming up the blocks to make them pliable and shaping them around a good tab. You then fill and set them in place then add more plasti-fix to bond them to the part. I embed a cople of layers of fiberglass dry wall tape in order to add strength. Once sanded, adding additional plasti-fix, to pinholes and imperfections as you go, ( and the stuff sands better than spot putty, which I did not need to use ), the surface was flawless and to this day no one can tell were the repairs are. it even held together last year when my bike fell off the lift table.

I have posted this early this year so you American members can get to work on your passports, because once again on January 4th 2020 @ 6:30 PM, I would like to put together another Meet and Eat here in Burlington Ontario, making this the 9th annual meet and eat. As in previous years this is the weekend of the NORTH AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE SUPER SHOW, which is a three day event here in Toronto Ontario. Which is about 25 minutes from the motorcycle show. The Date has been set in the calendar so you may RSVP at anytime. NOTE!! Dinner time posted is an approximate time based on previous years. Time should remain the same but could vary by a half hour or so depending on their time frame when reservations are made. I will post exact details once I make reservations later in the year.

Well WNY rally has come and gone and I could not help butt notice the big disappointment Big Tom had on his face and his grumpy attitude for part of weekend:bang head: Just because all of the guys, Marcarl in particular, showed up wearing pants under their butt-less chaps Thankfully the Ice Cream truck showed up to put him back into his normally cheerful mood

One last thing you Americans need to get your passports so you can come up for the Burlington Ont meet and great In January. Same weekend as the TORONTO MOTORCYCLE SUPER SHOW. http://motorcyclesupershow.ca/ You can come up early and check out the show and then come to the meet and eat and great Dinner after. Well I too got home safe and sound eventually. No thanks to Carl who just kept leading me on by dangling ice cream under my nose. When we finally got close enough to his home where he felt he could go the rest of the way without a Nanny Bum, to hold his hand, he chucked me aside like a used rag after an oil spill. I did get the ice cream as a reward for baby sitting him however. Once we parted I took quit the scenic route home going through Dundas who,s main street was shut down for carnival ripe with lots of ice cream. (Did you you get that Marcarl lots and lots of ice cream) I did eventually make it home were Dino I mean Rio was so excited he practically Knocked me off my feet. Once that was out of the way I got a big loving hug from wife and a little consolation hug from her for Carl, Cause she knew if he was there he would expect a hug also. For me even though I thoroughly enjoyed myself as always., There was an element of bitter sweetness in that (A) Bob was not physically present and (B) knowing that this was the last VR rally at this location. I will really miss this and hope the future Rally arrangement will be as successful. Last and most importantly I would like to give thanks to Tom, Tom and Amy, Robin and Bob, Spanky, and Mr. Ken, for all their hard work and commitment to make this Rally another success story. I would also like to thank Michelle and Terry from Pioneer motor sports for all they have done for us not just this time around but over the years as well. An additional thanks to Michelle for the accommodation's she made available to us. Ride safe one and all and if we don't see each other again somewhere this year I hope to see you next year.

Grey huh sounds like it could work. I found some black vinyl paint and repainted the right arm rest from brown to black and now it looks better than the left one I already had.

This is true but I need to figure out first, if they're bigger than me or B if they can run faster angry than I can scared And besides....... sensitive as you are you'll start feeling ignored if we quit teasing you and think us Canadians don't love you anymore:canada::canada:

So after trying to clean it with about 15 defferent cleaners the carb and choke cleaner suggested by Marcarl took first price followed by my citra clean. Plus I followed up the carb cleaner with citra cleaner and finally and industrial vinyl treatment similar to armour all.The seat did not com out perfect but I would say a huge 95% improvement. Interesting little thing although the seat is for a MK I it fits the MK II wexcept the passanger seat is a tad smaller. The drivers seat is a tad lower and so I found myself seating about 1 1/2 inches lower and when I took it for a ride I swear it felt like I could handle the twisties even better than when I had the MK II seat. Although the original upholstry on the bike is brown the grey black does not look half bad. I have a black back rest and left rear arm rest so now all I need to do is find a right rear black arm rest and a set of lack pouches. Thanks for the seat Grez007

I plan to be at the funeral for sure Just not sure what my travel plans will be yet. Whether to go down and stay or to make two back to back trips.
