  1. So using the parts described will it be enough to shoot the oil or will it just sort of run out
  2. Well I dont know if I'm posting this in the right forum. But I'm hoping to find the paint code for the 2003 red and silver model. I'm going to repaint my 99 those colors and I'm hoping for the right code or something really close! Any info will be much appreciated!!!
  3. Well I just placed an order for an OEM set of slip ons for 55 bucks. They came off an 08 Tour Deluxe and I gotta tell you i'm excited to get the ugly old rust bucket slips off my bike.
  4. Personally I'd remove the side bags every time I wash the bike. I ride in the winter here and we occasionally get that nasty salt/slime on the road. I figure if i'm going to spend an hour cleaning it i might as well get the tops of the pipes and the backs of the bags right?! Plus that rear fender is hard for me to fit my hand around and hat would make cleaning that a breeze!
  5. Aha! Thats it! Thank you so much sir!
  6. If i remember right someone sells screw on replacements for the nuts and bolts that hold the second gen saddle bags on. Would like to get in contact with this person
  7. Looking at the pictures you showed me, and this picture from The Venturers website it looks like you can put a small line where I've marked it with a blue arrow. This will be putting the oil where it needs to be right? Will it have enough pressure to squirt or is it just a trickle?
  8. Would that I basket be for sale by chance?
  9. So has anyone done this yet?
  10. I'll gladly be along for the ride when you make the switch
  11. I've always felt safe in Northeast Nebraska. Really nice people around here for the most part. But last week my dirt bike was stolen right out side of my house.
  12. Oh wow that is neat! I, for the first time today, saw a crow in her own nest!
  13. I eventually would like to go to school to be a veterinarian or at least to work with animals.
  14. I'm sorry to hear that Freebird, i didnt see that post. That is pretty neat though, i've been thinking about getting a rose breasted cockatoo or a macaw of some sort
  15. This artical makes me glad that im one of the few 21 year olds with a practical comfortable touring bike
  16. Just curious if anyone here has any pet birds? Or any pets for that matter?
  17. I found mine for 50 a piece at a dealership because a few years back someone ordered them and they just hung on to them. That made me a guaranteed come back customer
  18. I dropped my bike at the Iron Horse campground in Sturgis. The grass was super soft and there was a big hole that i didnt see and when she started going down i just grabbed her and let her down easy. Turned around, did a squat, ppicked her up set her on the side stand and i was golden
  19. You got a couple confirmed kills for sure
  20. Well if the deer wasnt dead before, we know it is now
  21. Ohh man I bet the dogs were smelling you fierce when you got home!
  22. So I work a weekend shift which has some pretty weird hours. We work 5 to 5 friday and saturday and 12 noon to 12 midnight on sundays. Well it was too beautiful outside yesterday to NOT take the bike to work and I was right. It was a nice ride! So anyways we finish up work and a co-worker and I stop at a buddy's for about an hour after work. When we're ready to leave I ask my co worker if i can follow him home, because I'd much rather follow a car in the middle of the night than be out by meself (or so i thought). So we take off and about 5 miles from town I'm riding about 500 ft behind him give or take. And he dries over a huge dead raccoon! He went right over, didnt hit his brakes or swerve or signal in anyway and by the time that i saw the coon in the road it was too late to swerve so I grabbed on tight. I've never hit anything that made me bounce like that before i swear it felt like the front wheel came off the ground. Anyways it just made me think about how easy it is to wreck on a bike. If i would have tried to swerve or have been on a smaller bike I probably could've went down. I decided after that to let him get a quarter mile ahead of me and just rode home that way. Turns out following a car and trying to use his headlights just doesnt work very well. Anyways i havent looked at the bike in the light yet, but if there's any damage i'll let you guys know:fingers-crossed-emo
  23. Well we're glad that you're going to be ok and ended up (mostly) in one piece! I think I'm going to add a headlight modulator to my bike, It seems that people really dont watch the road these days.
  24. It looks like a good trailer, I'm trying to find a way to bring my dog with me on my trips

    YAT!

Didnt the first year stallions have some terrible design flaw that they never have over looked? You have to open a door to get into the damn thing
