  1. Hey guys! How do I nominate some one for a VR award. I'd like to give a big thanks to Jakester for going out of his way on finding me a bike? He gave me a phone call and was very nice. He offered me a place to stay for the night if I do decide to get that bike. So if that's not deserving of an award I don't know what is!
  2. That's really cool brake pad! If i was closer id definitely use your business
  3. Glad to hear your surgery went well. I really hope you have a pain free recovery!
  4. Hey Goose! Haven't seen you online in awhile!
  5. Thanks Flyinfool for waiting til I was out of commision to dump on us.
  6. Were you running a car tire too?
  7. Best wishes! I'm being my surgery today too
  8. Did your buddy take it? I'm still interested as well lol
  9. I may just take you up on that. Got any pictures?
  10. I appreciate it and thank you I definitely take that as a compliment Haven't decided yet. We'll see what the insurance says but I'm thinking they're gonna buy it from me and I'll get something a little different I just hate playing the waiting game. Especially when they're are bikes to be test ridden
  11. My favorite thing about the 85 is the way they designed the Venture Cruise in it. It had the glowing green gem with the beautifully written out "venture cruise" on the MKII they added an external cruise system that just looked gaughty. I think they made the 85 for the people and definitely made it my personal favorite. And yeah puc I've had my eye on that one in indiana. Now I'm just trying to find one with less miles
  12. You can bet your butt that I'm not gonna point out that cartire to my agent either
  13. Yeah it has a beautifully tailored Brown seat that's the same as. The 83s. The 86 and newer felt harder to me. I've briefly owned all three. 83 85 and an 88. I owned the 85 the longest and I let it slip out of my fingers Lol My 83 didn't have cruise or a cb. The MKII had both
  14. So is it just me puc or does the V 4 just feel better in a 1200cc
  15. I feel like I'm more confused now than ever hahaha.
  16. Yeah I was gonna say that that looked like a typo. My 85 has the removable bags. Same color though and in great shape. I don't however know when I'm going to get the insurance check in
  17. Oh boy you're REALLY pushing buttons today huh? Lol I sure do hope this admins are forgiving today lol
  18. It's nice to see such dedication to our fallen hero's. Really touching story Puc, she couldn't have gone to a better home. Maybe they'll let you ride her in one off the reenactments
  19. Well I think I have my heart set on another 85 Venture Royale. Some of you guys might even remember when I had that bike when I first joined when I was like 17. I think it'll make the bank happy if I get a cheaper bike plus I never did feel like my RSV was quite the bike my 85 was. I got rid of it because of the second gear started having issues and I've regretted it since. But im gonna test drive some bikes and see if I can't find something that I really like.
  20. I'll have to admit that is one cool ride! Love the first gen trunk!
  21. I used to own an 86 but I remember that I just didn't quite like the thirteen that much. I am still interested though
  22. I think its really doubtful. I had the bike leaning in and out several Times and never felt any squirreliness. After I wrecked I checked the tire for any marks or bulges. When I get feeling better I'm gonna see exactly what happened
  23. Question. What is the difference between the 85s and 84/83s? I know the trunk is different. But what else? I have been leaving toward a 1200 first gen because like you said they are probably the best all around bike for the money. I was interested in the fjr until I learned it didn't have an in fairing stereo, which is a must
  24. Something Like that for sure! Just soo many options Lol
