  1. Yea, I got the BANNED message this morning too. And I thought WTF did I do? Thanks for all the hard work Don. You da man!
  2. Botched cataract surgery's are rare. Little to be leery about. I've had my left eye done and Shirley has had her right done. I'll need the right eye done soon. Shirley is also blind in her left eye and the surgery gave her new life. Get in there and get her done. The improved vision is immediate
  3. Thanks guys. Hi Scotty, welcome to Venture Riders. You will not find more knowledge about these bike anywhere and the members are pretty darn good too. Well worth the $12 a year. You have every right to respond. Please do every thing you can to get help for your brother. You will most likely need professional help. I have a sister who has a BAD problem with alcohol. I've forced her into detox several times but have been unable to get her into rehab. I was sure she would be the first to leave us and have prepared myself as well as one can for that day. My little brother was a complete surprise.
  4. Saturday morning I found my younger brother passed away on his couch. He was just 62. 7 years younger than I. He used to pester me to death when he was a little guy. "What are you doing? why? whats that do? how?" I taught him how to ride and play guitar. He followed me into racing and when I got out of the Army we formed a rock band. I never realized what a huge part of my life he was. I miss him terribly already. God bless you little brother.
  5. Bring your hiking shoes to see the falls. It's been a while but Shirley and I have eaten at Hawg Wild. It was decent. There is some good riding from Vogel to that area.
  6. The dates you posted are correct. Comfort inn. +1-706-745-6844 Someone said The seasons inn would not be available. Hope to see you there.
  7. I always get a chuckle when I see her do that.
  8. It's all of 80 miles for me and I love it. I get to ride the North Ga, East Tenn. and West N.C. mountains any time I feel like it. east
  9. I love my woodworking tools. I'd get the planer, but I have all the motorcycles and guns I want.
  10. Sure hate to hear this Randy. We will keep you both of you in our prayers. Give her a big hug from both of us.
  11. That day will come for all of us and only you know when that day is. I decided to quit riding back in 03 for the reasons you stated and sold my bike. I had a new bike come spring of 04. If you are happy with your decision who can blame you. You can still hang out here though.
  12. Hard to pin it down to one favorite. I truly loved every bike I've owned. After thinking long and hard I think the one may be the 1970 Yamaha XS650. I was 16 and working for a local Yamaha dealer assembling new bikes when I opened the crate and fell in love. She never made it to the show room floor. Not mine but this is how she looked..
  13. Those would have to be some REALLY nice chairs to get me to drive 800 miles, and I'm sure not doing it in bad weather. Glad you got them though. A man needs a good recliner. Shirley usually has to wake me out of mine to go to bed.
  14. Most, the ones that don't stay at vogel state park, stay at Seasons Inn. https://www.seasons-inn.com/
  15. Reservation made. Many of the cottages are already booked.
  16. I was just going to start a post on this. Let's roll!
