  1. Whose Black Cherry Hannigan is that??
  2. Seeing as you have twice the braking area in the front it stands to reason they will last a lot longer than the rear! It's normal to brake a little harder in the rear unless you like nose diving into a stop. From what I've read here it is normal to replace the rears around 10K or less if you use the rears more than the front. 70K is outstanding for the front. I think those plastic dirt covers are still available. They are the same ones for the 1st gen MK2 as well, same rear caliper and also used on the fronts...
  3. Wayne email'ed me last night. He found an Amish place that specialized in starters and generators and they found the R/R to be bad. They found one and had it shipped overnight and charged up the battery and now all is well with Wayne's World...
  4. Yes, he ordered a new regulator. If you have a multimeter Wayne is smart enough to test a few things. I'm suspecting his battery more than anything but it could be his regulator especially if he put one of those cheap Chinese ones in... PS his cell number should be in his profile.

  8. There is a venturerider, Wizard765, stranded with a charging system problem down there. He is with another couple and they are on vacation. I may have to go down there with his friend's pickup and trailer, about a 6 hr ride each way, but if there is someone in the area that can help him fix his problem that would be great! He has a new Rick's stator installed a month ago so the issue could be either the R?R or the battery. Not sure if Wayne has a voltmeter with him or not...
