  1. Halfwit, name a time and place then see what happens.I would be interested, but only Fri evenings and Sat work for me.[traveling through the week]
  2. I personally don't have them but ride with a friend who has the Kury Lizard Lites. They are the same thing with the differences being that the Lizards are more expensive, have fixed length wires and moulded conectors. The Wizard kit looks to be more flexiable for instalation. Both sets have 7 colors, flash, fade and all kind of other fabtastic doodads. You know what?My friend rides with it set on one color [because flashing will get you a visit from johnny lawman]and when he parks it ,he leaves on that same color because he doesn't want to fool with cycling through to get to the color he likes.I thought long and hard about getting Wizards for my bike as they are really REALLY cool. And then I thought about how I would use them and came to the conclusion that most of the time I would only use 1 color also.So my 2 cents worth of advice is when I get lites for my ride,it will likely be high quality single color lites .Good luck on your decision, don't think I'm trying to discourage you from Wizard Lites as I don't know what you have in mind, this is just my experiances and conclusions with these lites.Herb
  3. http://www.onlinetires.com/default.aspx?PageData=tireResults I've ordered from these people, and they were excellent to deal with.$40.00 for the tire, and I think around $15.00 to deliver to Pa. from Ca.Not sure of the exact shipping cost but it was very reasonable. They also have Kumho's for $43.00.I'm very happy with the Federal, good luck on your decision.Herb
  4. Slick97spirit, http://forums.delphiforums.com/DarkSiding/start this link will lead u to the "Dark Side".Lots of information, and personal experiance from others who have gone this route.Because none of this is "recommened" practice,u do so, accepting responsibility for your own actions.Speaking for myself,I've switched to a radial car tire[CT] on the back and a radial motorcycle tire[MT] on the front of my '07 RSTD.As I stated in an earlier post on this thread,I could't afford to keep MTtires on this beast. It's apparently the nature of this beast to eat tires, but I like the bike to much to pass it off for this reason alone. It is the only cloud on the Royal Star parade as far as I'm concerned.Well, anyway,go to that site and your questions will be answeared and u can make up your own mind as to what u want to do.There are good people there to help if u have any questions.Best of luck,Herb.
  5. Pegscraper, the Cobra isn't avaible in WWW,although there is a company that will make them so.I don't have a link, but guys on The Darkside Forum would have it.From the limited miles I've put on so far,I'm really lov'in the Cobra radial.Good luck,Herb.P.S.,now I remember u pegscraper,it was your picture of the Federal mounted on your bike that leaned me toward Federal. Thanks a bunch for the posting[& u already know about getting WWWs]
  6. Maineac,I switched out both at the same time.Went through 2 rear tires and was switching to a CT when I noticed the front OEM Bridgestone was going squirelly like the back one did.6000 miles on OEM rear tire, went to a Dunlop 404,4000 miles later it won't pass Pa. inspection.I am meticules about air pressure, and asked the local dealer about it.They said their experiance with Royals was that they ate tires.I love the bike,am just looking for a more economical way to keep the hooves shod.Herb.
  7. The Road Star Clinic article is excelent. One change I would suggest is to put the switch on the center panel instead of the side panel. That way when u remove the side panel u don't have to contend with the wires. There is a nice empty space just under the fuel pump for the switch and flasher.[at least on a RSTD].Herb
  8. http://faq.ninja250.org/index.php?title=Installing_an_accessory_fuse_box&redirect=no&printable=yes Walt, here is a link I used for ideas to install a key controlled power block on my RSTD.It has some good suggestions, especially the one about putting a ground post on the buss fuse panel. It was pretty easy once u get started, good luck,Herb.
  9. eagleye,I have a '07 RSTD with a Federal 165/80/15 on the drive. It is almost an exact match to the stock bias profile.Contrary to some others experiance,I had very little trouble mounting it.The bead was well lubed and seated nicely in stages. For the front,Avon just came out with a Cobra 150/80/16 in a radial. It's listed for "custom" applications. That is an exact replacement for the bias front tire. With this combination, there was a noticeable reduction in rolling resistance, and it lays very nicely into the turns.I'm a big guy and this is a big bike with lots of torque. At the rate I was going through tires,I could hardly afford to ride it.If I only get 10,000 miles out of the Federal,I'll consider this experiment a sucess.I expect to get many more miles than that out of it.Good luck on whatever u go with.Herb
