Any of you who have frequented the chat here in the past may recall that I used to have a very nice "whip" sound I could use when ever I felt the urge to do so. Somehow, after changes to the chatroom, I no longer had my "whip" sound. I tried to be nice, and not complain about it. Although, it caused me much pain and suffering, I carried on, but it just was never the same. If you come into chat now, you will notice that I have two varieties of Whips. There is the much more relaxing Whip 1 and for those times I really need a quick pick me up I have Whip 2. Just wanted to say, Freebird you are the best. I no longer have to come in to chat and not cause any trouble at all. I can be myself again all because of you! Yama Mama

I resemble that remark. Actually, I unfortunately am not on chat as much as I used to be. We have not been riding until last week. Gee, now I got to something to talk about. Yama Mama

Yes and Mike I believe that is why there are bike trails or paths, which is better for everyone. Keeps the bicyclists off the roadways and to them selves where they can Yell " Passing on your left " stay out of the way of traffic. Yama Mama

Oh I know what you are saying is true. The bicyclist did tell the Police that he did not stop, like he should have. That is my hope that nothing will come of this. If we had been on our RSV, we would have gone down for sure and not only hurt our bike, but more than likely ourselves too. I just hope that nothing does come of it. Ron has called several times to the lawyers office with out any one answering the phone as yet. He was just going to ask how he was doing. Wish us luck. Yama Mama

Gee, I sure hope you are joking. Yama Mama

Come on Brian, let's hear what you got to say. Opinion please. I agree bicyclist have to follow the rules of the road. Like I said it would have been worse for us if we had been on the bicycle. Another issue, what about the damage to our car? No offers to fix it yet and probably never will be. We are out the money for the damage I am sure. And we did nothing wrong. Yama Mama

http://sr.photos1.fotosearch.com/bthumb/CSP/CSP866/k8667891.jpgI agree with you. However, in this case the rider was on the sidewalk, which in it self is illegal. The other problem was he was going to ride on the crosswalk, which according to the walk light was orange. The basic error on his part was he did not stop. I ride a bicycle myself. I believe a bicyclist has to always anticipate what the car or traffic is going to do. We were in the right turn lane too. So it was obvious we were turning right. Yama Mama

I wanted to Joe, but he was bigger than me. Yama Mama

He was 63 years old and a rather large guy, too. Yama Mama

Before you all get angry, a bicyclist actually hit us in our car. We were going to the Newport Motorcycle Rally on Sunday. We turned right. The crosswalk light was orange. I yelled "Ron Stop"! I saw to my right a big guy on a ten speed bicycle riding into our car. The guy went down, hit his head on the concrete. I jumped out of the car. There just happened to be a medic, a woman studying to be a doctor, and probably 6 others ran to help. I grabbed napkins out of my glove box. The ambulance, fire truck, and police showed up. They took the report. They checked the injured guy out and he refused to go to the hospital. He seemed to be cognitive. He had a gash over his left eye, and scrapes and lacerations on his face. The medics left, after the man refused help. After, they left the man seemed to get worse. He had symptoms of a concussion. We kept saying he needs to go to the hospital. There was a plastic bag attached to the carrier on his bike. He acted like he had no idea where it came from. Oh I forgot to say the man who hit us is a lawyer in Kentucky. Ron called twice to see how he was. The police said he did finally go to the hospital to get checked out. So that is my story and I am sticking to it. Forgot to say, there is a big dent in the hood of our car, and the bumper was knocked loose. If we had been on our RSV, we would have gone down for sure. So we were lucky, I suppose and so was the lawyer. http://media.syracuse.com/post-standard/photo/2013/06/13019657-standard.jpgYYama Mama

Patty I just now saw this thread. I am glad the doctor's figured out the problem. I know if you stick to it you can lose the weight you need to lose. Just try to lose 5 pounds at a time. I know you can do it. I hope everything goes well for you. Yama Mama

When we were in the Badlands we wound up on this gravel road. We did okay until a road grater came the other direction and almost plowed us into a build up of loose gravel. Yama Mama

Thanks for the nice well wishes. Mini you are right he is my first husband. I do not plan to have another one. You know that Liz Taylor had 9 husbands, and 7 of them were her's. Baroom Bum. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z186/My_Broken_Heart86/Martin%20Freeman%20Gifs/th_drumsolo_zps12936051.gif No the bike is almost together. I hope it gets together soon. In the mean time I have been riding my bicycle. It gives me the illusion that I am riding. Hehehehe! Yama Mama:smile5:

I just want to thank Moped for the last 41 years we have spent together. I especially want to thank him for getting our RSV and the fun we have had with it. I truly believe some of the best times I have had are the sights we have seen and the wonderful people we have met, all because we are on a motorcycle. Great times with a great man. Love you, Yama Mama

Love the photos! Keep them coming. This is where I have wanted to ride for probably 5 years now and still have never made it there. It looks just beautiful! Have fun and enjoy every mile of your ride! Yama Mama
