Earl has been great loaning his kit to anybody who needs it. If he would be kind enough to provide his PayPal email address, I think that we should all help by sending him 5 or 10 dollars each to help replace them all. How about it earl, where should we donate?

Well, just let me say this about that. The reason the signatures were restricted on the other site is because some folks get crazy with their signatures. It's not too bad when you are viewing the site on a computer but on a phone, entire pages can be taken up with a signature. Even mine, with three relatively small pictures, is probably too much for those using a phone, and you would be amazed at how many people browse the site on their phones. So this is just a warning, if the signatures get out of hand, I will have to restrict the sizes, number of photos, etc. again. Now, I COULD set it so that signatures don't who up on mobile devices but then I've had people that didn't like that either. It's a fine line that we have to walk.

if you type a post and wish to "tag" somebody, that means to insert their name in a way that they will receive notification of the post and can reply if needed, here is how its done. On the old site, you just typed their username with the @ sign in front of it. Example @freebird. That no longer works on the new site however. The way you do it now is basically the same. You type the @ sign and then start typing their username. As you type, a dropdown menu will appear and you have to select their name from the menu. If I start typing @Freebird , freebird will show up in the menu. I just click on that and it inserts the username for me. It's actually much better this way because people use all types of different spellings for their username. If you just get the first two or three letters correct, you don't have to worry about spelling the rest of it. Just look a the list as you type and then click on the name when you see it.

Yea, I figure our leaves are about 40% down also. I mowed/mulched them today but will likely have to vacuum next time. I have a DRPower leaf vac that I tow with the mower but I HATE using that thing. I don't do it any more often than necessary.

I fertilized. few weeks ago also. Have one more fertilizing to do probably next week. Fertilizer and weed control.

Just finished mowing the yard. My I the only one still having to mow? I figure at least once or twice more.

OK...I'll do my best. Yes, followers are the same thing that friends list was. Just a different name. Yes, the old one its a thing of the past., VR Honor Badges is gone. There are a couple of options for something similar but I'm still studying them. From what I've read, both are pretty buggy right now. Hou can still PM a member. It's Called "Messaging" now. Hover over somebody avatar and a popup will show "message", "ingore", and "find content" which is other things that user has posted.

OK, Steve is back. I'll look through my old files to see if I'm missing anybody else.
-
Well, he was there. I don’t see him now. Will take care of it.
-
Thank you. Correction has been made. For whatever reason, the filename for the picture I had said Josephslye.
-
Got those two corrections made. Can someone remind me the username for Joseph Slye? I should remember but can't.
-
Can you tell me which ones? I've looked but am missing it.

I've been watching this thread. My reply is going to be fairly short but hopefully will answer one of the questions that has been answered. First of all, this thread has turned far from what it was written for. Secondly, it has certainly become political, any way you slice it. Normally I would have already deleted all the political posts but I know that tensions are high right now and people feel the need to express themselves. I still think there are plenty of websites that are designated strictly for political discussion and you that feel strongly about arguing the points should do it on one of them. After today, possibly sooner, these political posts will be removed. Now I THINK the question that has been asked is "Can a person who is not a moderator make a thread go "poof". The answer of course, is no. There are a number of ways that such a situation can be addressed. If any member chooses he doesn't like a certain thread, he or she can submit it to the moderators and we will make a decision. If the member posts something just for the sole purpose of blowing up the thread and cause it to be deleted, there is the option of simply deleting that one post, or more than one, and banning the member from the thread. Of course they could then get mad and start another thread just to continue their tirade. The options then are to let them know that it won't be tolerated and then if it continues, the member could be temporarily or permanently banned from the site. So no, no member can make a thread go "poof" just because they don't like a response that was posted. It would be looked at and a decision made and then action taken. Now this is NOT pointed at any individual. A question was asked and this is simply the answer.

I believe that I have all our deceased members added back to the memoriams page. If you can all take a look at the page I would appreciate it. There are two or three members that I only had partial names for or could not remember their reel or usernames., Please take a look and reply here if you can help fill in the blanks. You can find it by clicking on "browse" and then memoriams. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I've been restoring our Memoriams Page. You can find it under the "Browse" tab at the top but I'll probably make a menu tab for it. Still have a couple to add. Will get to it very soon.
