  1. My dealer took them off before I took delivery on my 2007 venture. He said that they were some type of deflector and totally useless. He did however give them to me and said if for any reason I wanted them back on he would put them on for me. Since they are chrome I wish I could figure out a place to use them where they would show. Later Gary
  2. I just finished replacing my old cassette player on my 2007 RSV with the Pyrimid Graphic Equalizer and I must say I couldn't have done it without the great instructions on this forum. It looks good and works good too. It took me about 14 hours from start to finish. Of course I got side tracked a lot as usual when trying to find tools and things that I haven't used in years but it got done. I will say there is one thing not mentioned in the article. I had to grind off 2 small ears on each side of the equalizer (about 1/8") so it would fit into the face plate, but other than the instructions were great. I made a few substitutions by using electrical tape to wrap the outer case instead of shipping tape and I used a electric coping saw to cut out the face plate. It is a great idea though and it is something that I am actually using. Thanks Gary
  3. Bill, I am envious of you in that my wife and I have been trying to figure out a way for us to move to northern NM ourselves. I can understand your misgivings about the state that the educational system is in. However, it isn't just California that the classrooms are bulging. I retired from teaching 2 years ago after 13 years and went back to engineering. It wasn't teacher burnout but the fact that school administrators are trying to run schools like a "for profit" business. It seems like they are trying to get the most bang for their (or our) buck. In reality classrooms are getting so large that no teacher can teach. It is all they can do to babysit, hence not much learning is done. Anyway, good luck and I do hope that NM has a better system than many states have adopted. It will be a beautiful place to live. Great people. Gary
