  1. We are staying at the Ramkota (best western) Inn in Rapid city. We also are planing on the rides you mentioned. We are Sturgis virgins, have been to Daytona many times but are really looking forward to some good rides instead of whats in Daytona. I hear they are very nice and from the pictures I've seen I can't wait to get there. Tom
  2. Pam and I will arrive in Rapid City on the 3rd and leave for home on the 12th. This will be our first trip to Sturgis and have been looking forward to it for quite a while. We plan on doing all the nice rides out there and spending a day or two checking out the vendors, the bars and the bikes. If anyone wants to get together for a cocktail we would love to meet. 3. We have this trailer made for pets http://www.wagstrailers.com/pet_trailer.asp it works very well and there are no exhaust gasses getting in. We just did a 1000 mile weekend and it performed flawlessly. It was 90 and sunny and the trailer never got hot inside. I kept checking and it was comfortable even sitting in the sun. It isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. Tom
  4. I switched to this unit this weekend and all is well http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways/RangeMaxNEXTWirelessRoutersandGateways/WNDR3300.aspx I got it for $109 at best buy. It comes with an install disc that made everything simple. My PS3 and laptop work flawlessly from 2 floors and over 150 feet away. Tom PS. No adapters were needed.
  5. Just make sure it's a stereo plug and not mono as they sell both kinds. Tom
  6. Here is the link on how to install a splitter in the fairing. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3905 From there you can run the wire where you want it. I have the Hopnel pouch on mine with the wire coming through the bottom. It works great and if it starts to rain, just slip the player in the pouch. Here is a link for the pouch http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-VehicleBrowse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2006629/showCustom-1/p-2006629/N-111+2004+200004571/c-10111 Good luck Tom
  7. I have never had luck with them. I would say use the wire into a y connector inside the fairing. It is a clean install and a clear sound. I ran mine under a hopnell tank bib and brought the wire from the bottom into the pouch. It works great and if it starts to rain, just put it in the pouch. Tom
