I have a friend who rides with me who has a road glide, and if I ever went to buy a Harley, I would buy a road glide..
He and I put many a mile on together and his road glide runs like a top, his stereo sounds great, and there is somehting about the way it looks going down the highwayt at 70 mph that catches my eye.. He has not had one problem with is since he bought it two years ago, and he runs the tar out of it..
Yep, if I ever decided to switch to Hrley, it would be a road glide...
but I love my liquid silver as I just about have it fixed up now where I want it..

I read that one but if I am reading it right it downloads on the hard drive..I was thinking of having it only on a SD Card..Thanks though.Tom
Heck yea....this sure would be nice if one of you wizzards could figure it out..
Then you could figure out how to down load all the tech articles to a SD card.....and we could carry the tech articles with us as we ride too...
I have every 2nd gen tech article printed out and I carry them in a minilla folder on my bike now, but it sure would be nice to have them on a SD card...
The loaded SD cards could be used to make nice door prizes or gifts at our rallies......

Yep, I agree with V7Goose on this one..
It is a normal process for the dealer to tell you they have to tear into it it to see what the cause is.
After they establish what the noise is they then try to determine the root cause of the failure and meanwhile Yamaha leads them step by step on what they can and can not do so that they can keep track of every step of the repair and begin the preventive / corrective cycle for future manufacturing awareness..
I would not worry about it at all..it is covered under warrenty. and if you take it to the place that did all your scheduled oil changes.. our in for a cost free repair...just ask them for a "loaner" to ride until you can get yours back..
They may not give you a "loaner" until they figure out the cause, but hey... you should not loose riding time because of an engine failure that is covered under warrenty...

and rode on them today. went with the 130 up front. So far ITS GREAT!!!
They look good Ponch.... where did you get your WW's at?

a set of golf clubs in a golf bag, a cooler and two new Avon tires are the only 3 things I ever hauled on my bike..

Congrats Lewis, he looks just about like you..........
-
I do not think the cables will be long enough and I truely feel you will have interferrence with the cassette door...
I would also think you would have the possibility of the bottom (base) hitting the plastic ignition / gas tank cover when turning the handle bars all the way in one direction or the other..
I would like to know how it turns out if you do get it installed..please let me know.
-
Good luck with the recovery. Jump in here every once in a while .......
Maybe you ought to just sit in here once in a while.... until your knee heals up...
-
You might want to stop by your local bicycle store, or golf cart shop and check out thier mirrors.......

Check with Eck he may have some of the parts in the club collection he operates.
Your right on there Redneck
I am at work right now, but I know of one I have that I took it off my 05 Silverado when I installed the driving lights, and the bar is the same as the one on the RSV and has the rubber ends on it.
I just checked the free parts list (link attached below) and there is not a turn signal light bar listed..but I do have the one from my 05 silverado.
You can check on this link for any other parts you may need:

I think the link you provided is undergoing some maintenance right now...
This UsedEverywhere.com site is currently undergoing maintenance. If you have reached the site at 4am Central Time (US/Central) then the maintenance is expected to complete at around 5:20am. Otherwise the maintenance is unscheduled and we suggest trying back every 15 minutes.
Thank you for your patience!

Just a thought not knowing exactly how bad it is bent or out of alignment...
Maybe you could use your small sissor jack from your car, and piece of a 2x4...
You can place the jack & piece of 2/4 between your tire and frame and then you can slowly screw out the jack and "control" the pressure and distance that you push the frame out..????
A phot speeks a thousand words..maybe post a pic or two of the bent frame so I (or we) can see how it is bent, and what direction it needs to be adjusted...
..then maybe we can come up wiht an idea or two that may help you.

It's a "loose nut" between the seat and handlebar...
Hope you get it figured out bud..let me know what yuo did to fix it so I can put your fix in my "fix it" data bank...

My suggestions are:
Jack the front wheel off the ground.
Place a small 2x4 block in front of your tire and as close as you can to the front of the tire but not touching the tire, just very very close to the tire.
Then by hand, you slowly (very slowly) turn the tire and carefully watch to see if the tire touches the 2x4. Make sure the 2x4 is as close to the tire as you can get it with out it touching before you start.
If the tire does rub or touch the 2x4 you could have a bent, (or out of round), rim.
Another test:
Again with the front wheel off the floor.
Squeeze the front brake lever. Pump it up good and squeeze it about 4 or five times.
Now again slowly turn your front wheel and dilligently listen & feel if the rotor is "dragging" on the front brake pads..itmay touch just a tiny bit, but Im saying you are checking for a "drag" where it becomes harder to turn the tire...
If it does become harder to turn, you could have a warped rotor, or your front caliper may be sticking and not releasing properly.
Another test:
Check the oil level in the front forks.
I would never ever think that the dealer may have forgotten to install fork oil now ...
but hey, you never know and you could be running on air pressure only...
you cant tell with out checking..
I would also check the air pressure in each fork and I personally run 3 to 5 lbs in each fork..
Caution Note: Do not use an air compressor to put air into the front fork fittings..I suggest using a small hand pump where you can control the amount you are putting in so you dont blow out the fork seals..
You can also do the tire check, the brake caliper check and air pressure check to your rear tire to make sure it is ok too..
