this makes no sense to me, But I would definatly do what they said. What I am thinking tho Sounds kinda like a fuel issue, Wasn't made by Yamaha but I had a chevy love pickup with isuzu motor in it, It would do this exact same thing but if I ran the choke half on it would go away. then eventually the manual fuel pump went out completely...

83 venture vs royal

I would look under Tech pages, I know there isn't much for pictures there as far as some of these parts go. I know I still have a ways to go on my 83. Right now I am trying to clear up wiring issues on mine. But come about may I will be just about done testing another TCI unit for our bikes. I plan to buy in February and test it, So if I give a review on it before then we know it wasn't good. LOL Didn't mean to high jack your thread. Not sure did anyone tell you to rework your Computer Monitor, If not I would definatly check the connections to it and resolder if needed. You will find a right up on that and believe pictures. I had a headlight issue and it fixed that problem and several others. Also the battery warning there is a way to bypass that with a resister. I bought packages of 1k ohms and 2.2k ohms I made me a bypass out of each resister still have 4-5 I believe. Think they ran me around 5 bux for both packets of resistors. -

That is the thing I hate most about google apps, They like to fix things that aren't broke. Actually any app for that matter My Netgear Genie app was running good up till the last update now it crashes, My parental controls block me from things that shouldn't be blocked.I run mine on the minimum and a few other devices that adults own, and the kids are on High. Earlier this year Someone had mentioned motorcycle porn in a thread and wouldn't let me access the thread so I ended up using my phone to get around it. It blocks parked domains and it was identifying several forums as blocked domains. So I was left with no choice but to turn off Parental Controls and Access Control until they fix the issue. Rather a pain I don't see a point in updating something that is already working just fine because it seems every time they do this something stops working as it was. I know they have beta testers before the final build is released. I was for microsoft on the games systems but no longer really do much because most of it lately has been needing testing on stuff I don't have. Top that they didn't listen to my feedback anyways for instance they put Cortana on Xbox One, I do not like her and can not disable it. They have yet to tell me how to disable her on this computer. I wished I could go back to my Xp Pro... I am really missing Windows 7 now too. Never thought I would say that.

Battery not charging
snyper316 replied to Thomas's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I ended up getting the AGM from O'reily auto parts, Also the Iridium plugs. Still didn't have spark at all four so I got to do some fun things tonight!:bang head: Like replace a few wires that had been patched in. Replaced some more connectors inside the plugs. Had spark at all 4 double checked as I went silly tinker fired up on 3&4 only when I was checking number 1 for spark gap. Got it all done tho now just to figure out where the buy button is on those cables while I have the plastic off gonna replace them too. But first I am gonna enjoy my New Years celebration even if I have to do it by myself. -
That is putting it lightly and the problem just did it to me. Just trying to reply, I hate Chrome but as I said if they didn't jam pack phones with Google crap I would use firefox all the time. For some reason also if you open chrome then open task manager, chrome uses alot of resources.... Firefox hardly puts a ding in your memory as chrome eats the crap out of it!!!

Took the battery back to O'Reilly's he did a few test and it ended up being a bad cell. Got an AMG battery in there now. Now to find the problem for no fire on 4 cylinder. So much fun getting to everything. Does the stator come with the pick up coils? Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside. -

I don't have this thing you call a tape player... I have these shiny circular things that has 3 motors one eats the circle, one turns the circle, the other reads the circle. I'm switching out for just radio, Bluetooth, and mp3 player. Hoping that will help as I don't use the frisbies no more. Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside. -
Here is what I do when I run into problem with the spacebar I type out my first word and press enter then backspace and my problem goes away. Jeff I also use firefox, But mainly use the google because it syncs up with my phone. Now if I could completely delete google from my phone I would use firefox, I have soo soo soo much disabled in my phone that I either can't use, need a subscription, or just don't need it. It is beyond annoying replacing phones.

Battery not charging
snyper316 replied to Thomas's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
260 cold cranking amps, sorry thats where I am getting confused, some battery's I have looked at are up to 330 CCA, The Odysey is much lower. The Deka battery I am trying to find. I just would like to have more then a 90 day warranty on a battery also. That is another problem I am trying to get past. Just tired of pissing money away on battery's. I don't know about motorcycle battery. But with the Auto Batterys you used to be able to get as much as a 7 yr warranty, and now the most I have seen is 3 yr warranty and its prorated after a 1yr... the 7 yr warranty was prorated after 5 yrs. The battery I had in my van back in 04 lasted 10 yrs. As a matter of fact it is still in the mustang as of today as far as I know because my son has yet to buy a battery for it. The other battery's I have had didn't make it past 3 yrs before they had to be replaced. Did they forget how to make good battery's ? -

Guess you could say that.... But when you have spent 5500 and another 1200 getting the bike going you cut corners you shouldn't. Should have spent the 40 for plugs and 120 for the battery wouldn't be replacing already. Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside. -

Well something I never realized, me and my son both got our batteries at the same time. His rebel has the AGM battery we have never charged it. It spins that bike like it's a 50cc motor. I thought maybe I could spin mine over. Nope no good but that is when I noticed and remembered it was AGM. Think we got it AutoZone for 80 or so mine was like around 50. I remember the Convo we had why his battery was smaller but cost more then mine, I can never remember his name at AutoZone but the guy knows his stuff, I believe he owns a roady. He suggested we get the AGM and said he has one in each of his vehicles. So that's why I'm kicking myself for not listening to him about the iridium plugs. Sometimes I just too stubborn and a tightwad. After this battery I believe I will listen to any suggestions this guy offers. I bet if he tested my battery he would have knew what I needed.
