  1. That is all great information! Flyinfool, I had no idea it would eat thru the ABS! I new it didnt like paint. Thank you all very much. I have watched a couple videos on it as well from Youtube. I ordered everything I need and it should be done by this weekend! Looks like the snow might be gone and could be hitting 60 by Monday. Thank you all very much! Adam
  2. I have a 2006 RSV and the window for the clutch fluid is showing it's time to replace the oil. I found one article about doing this yourself that had pictures, but none of the pictures would open. I am fairly mechanically inclined and I'm not afraid to try things. But, does someone have a step by step on how to do this for a first timer, maybe wth some pictures? I'm not interested in speedbleeders yet. I know I'll need some kind of vacuum and some hoses. Some info on those would be great. What size hose? What type of vacuum? I've seen most things say DOT4 brake oil, is that correct? Feel free to talk to me like I'm a 5 year old. I'll do the work but I really need step by step with some good details. Thank you for any help that can be provided. Adam
  3. And with the Baron risers all of the cables were good? I don't really want to get into changing cables right now. SS cables eventually, just not right now. I just ordered the Baron's risers! Thanks for the help. Adam
  4. So what exactly is the part number of this 1 1/2" riser. I would love to add them to my venture. Do they just raise the bars or do they also bring them closer to you? I need a little bit of both. Thanks, Adam
  5. bongobobny, Thank you very much for your help so far. There is no grinding noise at all. I don't hear a thing. I feel a grinding thru my seat coming from the back end when I'm coming to a slow roll. The clutch is nice, no slipping at all. The rotors, calipers and pads are all good.
  6. I have a question for someone on here. I have an 06 RSV, just barely has 20,000miles on it. When I am rolling slowly, I can feel a grinding that seems like it's from the back of the bike. I can feel it thru the seat. Could this be drive shaft related? I had a new rear tire put on last year, they said they greased the splines and all that. I have not taken it off myself. I can by by a little mechanically. Is it easy to remove once the bags are off? I have the jack adapter to get it off the ground. Also, what kind of grease it supposed to be used for the splines? Is there anything I should be looking for? I do not feel the grinding when I'm going about 20mph or faster. Only when going slow for stopping ot just taking off. But mostly, when rolling to a stop. Thanks for your time. Adam
  7. I love having a flag on the back of mine!!!
  8. Bert2006, If it just so happens that you would like to get rid of them, I would certainly be interested, depending on the price!!!
  9. I have a question hopefully someone can help with. I have the 06 RSV, color is Black Cherry, which is the best color by the way!! On the colorrite website, the only color that looks close is called very dark red. I thought there was a year that the RSV had dark red and black maybe? Anyway, does anyone know if that is the Black Cherry color, and if it's not, do you know where to get it? I need to do a little touching up. Thanks for any help
  10. I just put the Bagger Shield 10.5" to 16.5" on my 06 RSV last night. I haven't had a chance to ride it since I put it on. I could not stand looking thru the stock windshield anymore! I had a short shield on my 98 Vulcan Classic and I loved it. I don't think the 16.5" will see much action, but at least it's there just in case!
  11. So you didn't have to replace any of the OEM cables with these bars? I really love the look and have been wanting to do this, I just didn't want to get involved with swapping out all the lines/cables. Beautiful bike!!
  12. Hey Don, I just sent you $3 for a patch. I put my address in the notes on Paypal. Thanks
  13. Where did you hide all the stuff that's under the trunk? do you have more pictures? Is it an easy conversion to put trunk back on? I love the look. Might do it to mine
