  1. Nope, I own a Model T and they are 21 inch rims. 4.50/21 My 1928 Olds is a 19 inch rim, so that is getting closer.
  2. I'm glad to see you are healing well. I am glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I'm glad you have it in your heart to forgive the transgressions of whoever this was. Heal well, ride well.
  3. Well, due to work, we have lost two but gained a maybe. See you there.
  4. Puc, a wise man once told me "There's nothing more beautiful than a woman who is working."
  5. Setting the gap to 5/8ths of an inch on a high tension lead that is connected to a spark plug under compression and running is a good way to ruin a coil. If it has to jump that big of a gap, it can find an alternative gap like across the windings creating a carbon track that will me nearly impossible to find but always there causing grief.
  6. I had the same thing and one of the vacuum ports had the cap fall off. Put a new cap on it and the backfiring stopped. Oh yeah, the idle improved too.
  7. Guitar string makes good jet cleaner. The soft (brass ones?) don't hurt the jets.
  8. Yes Cagie, that is the set I was looking at. Just saving up for them. My son-in-law got the 20smh or whatever model number because it talks further and does 8 or 10 pairs. Not that important to me.
  9. We are looking at the Sena 10 headsets. Maybe over the winter we will get them. They seem to get good reviews. I only need bluetooth to the phone and each other. My son-in-law bought the Sena 20 but the are not in yet. Seems they were backordered.
  10. Actually, I have the opposite problem. My son, one of my daughters, and one of my son-in-laws love to come cut my grass. I have to fight to get to cut my own grass. Sometimes, I don't fight real hard.
  11. Now, finally, the puzzle has been solved. We have located the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa!!!!
  12. Gee Rick, you sure bounce back. Glad to see that.
  13. BikerJohn and Squidley, ATTABOY!!! Great job Puc and Cappy. Puc, glad to see you and Tippy made it home. All of us here really enjoyed your trip. Thanks for including us. Happy Trails!
  14. My first thought was "Oh Hell No". I'm not sure I feel good laying it down. It looks easy though.
  15. Get well Rick. Was looking forward to meeting you during the M & E. Maybe next time. Take care.
  16. A friend asked me to help change the rear tire on his 2006? Gold Wing. I have done the Venture tires, how similar is this? Any suggestions? Thanks.
  17. I bought one of these for my 1100 and when I got the 1300, it fit just as good. Got it on sale for $14 http://www.menards.com/main/outdoor/covers/motorcycle-cover-model-a/p-1451133-c-10143.htm http://www.menards.com/main/tools-hardware/outdoor-living/covers/cycle/motorcycle-cover-xlg/p-1451134.htm
  18. 3 of us for sure, 4 possible.
  19. Appraised value is what the insurance company deems your car worth and then applies your deductible. Agreed value is an amount that you and the insurance company deem your car worth and agree that it is the amount paid in the event of a total loss. There is no deductible and you know what the amount is from the start. Big difference.
  20. We also have Hagerty. You definitely want an "Agreed Value" policy. Grundy insurance and JC Taylor are good as well. Slight differences in allowed drivers but similar policies.
  21. I tried tapping the carb, but it didn't work. The trick with the fuel pump connector worked like a charm. Good thing for everyone to know, just in case.
  22. Yes, that's what I anticipated. It had run fine and the next time it was puking all over. I was glad that it worked letting it run dry. Hated to pull it apart when I knew it had been fine. Now I need to change the oil. Glad I didn't just do it yet.
  23. So, the bike has been running pretty good lately. I rode the bike into the garage the other night. Today, I got the bike out to participate in a ride about an hour north. Made it to the end of the driveway. Smelled gas. Asked Cheryl if she saw anything leaking. She said, yes it is pouring out the bottom. Shut off the bike and got off. Gas was pouring out like it was from a gas can. Front left carb was running over. Not had a problem previously. Disconnected fuel pump and let it run to empty. Plugged in pump. No more leak. Seemed like for some reason, we were not supposed to ride today. On the good side, found a leaky vacuum line and fixed it "while I was in there".
  24. I plan to ride 113 to 47 to dupont road to ottawa, to 71 and so on. I like the back roads.
  25. Also, if you get water in the fuel, the fuel filters can sometimes stop up as the water is to "thick" to go through the filter. YMMV.
