At 14:15 you'll see a motorcycle stranded in the middle of the road. I slowed down and ask "Are You OK?" (You can't hear me because I had my mic close to my scooter's exhaust, so all the camera's catching was the exhaust sound). The guy said "Yes! Yes! Yes!" enthusiastically, giving me a thumb up. I didn't want to push it since it was in the middle of nowhere and I didn't carry a weapon, so I left him. At 14:30 you'll see his jackass riding buddy waiting for him doing absolutely nothing.

Very interesting notion about faith, Godlover. My wife and I are also on different denominations. Like y'all, we understand that the difference on denominations doesn't affect the fact that we worship the same God. Although, once in a while we joke about who between us is the closest to God

The previous owner of my '96 Royal Star warned me about this. He said he was stranded on the side of the road once because he thought he had a little more gas on the tank, but turned out he didn't. He relied on trip meter since, and that's what I always do. Forget the low fuel indicator.

I met another VR member myself today, Bob Myers from Richmond KY, owned a shop near my office in downtown Lexington. I had something done by him. Very nice guy, and very beautiful Venture he had. Definitely would come back to see him

Thanks KIC, that is very nice! I always wave if I'm waved at. Like KIC said, it doesn't take an advanced skill to take your hand off your handlebar for 1 second and make a simple gesture. I always wave to other cruisers. I even wave at cruisers behind me. Most of the time they wave back at me. I don't wave to crotch rockets. If they wave at me, I wave back. I don't wave to cars, simply because they are too many of them. But if they wave at me, I wave back (yes, it happened).

I think this thread is not about hating Harley Davidson motorcycle. I think this thread is about hating the HD attitude (clothing and all). I used to ride with some people who rode Aprillia and Ducati, and they are as snobbish as HD owner about their Italian machines. But they don't buy Chinese-made Ducati hat and Aprillia keychain and start talking Italian and watching Primavera soccers and such. Harley owners do that. They buy their Chinese-made clothings and claim that they are more American than guys who buy "rice burners". This attitude is what make a lot of people hate Harley owners. Sadly, most people hate Harley Davidson motorcycle too.

No, HD is NOT made in America 1. The forks are made in Japan 2. The electronics are made in Japan 3. The blingy chrome is made in China 4. The tires are made in Brazil 5. The seats are made in Vietnam or some Asian 3rd-world countries 6. Oh, and the leather jackets, leather bandanas, leather vests, leather pants, leather chaps, leather boots, leather gloves, leather hats with "Harley Davidson" logo on them? All made in China. Thank you for your service, and I'm a Kentuckian too.

Well, 3K a month means 750 miles a weekend. Can't do that yet. But maybe someday when my kids are off to college

Too much Polaris / Victory influence for my taste. And I'm not a big fan of aluminum frame either.

My friend on the other forum can attest that HD gets more revenue from clothing than motorcycle. His own words "HD sells motorcycles so they can sell clothings, not the other way around". I don't have the numbers or the source for that fact, but I'll find out.
