I'm going to bed now, this thing is giving me a migraine! Going to pull the plugs and make sure they are all firing tomorrow.

OK I swapped out my valves then put it all back together started it. Set the butterflies all to the same spacing. Sounded good but high revs, needed to sync carbs. Could not lower revs with the idle speed screw had it backed right out. Closed the butterflies a little got the revs down to 1000 rpm. hooked up the carb sync gauges. Then it all went to rat SH*T! I can get my revs down using the idle screw but as soon as it drops to 3000 rpm the tach stops working! Cant figure it out what do I do! My gauges may be screwed up I think but it drives me crazy. I can get it to idle right down but the tach don't register. I rev it up and the tach works above 3000 rpm.

I have been told by the people that own them that if you ever owned a snowmobile you will have no problem with the Spyder. Apparently the feel of them is very similar.

Will do!! Hoping to get a camper for the bike NO later then year after next! I have a few other things that are more important to do first. Such as finishing up the rebuild on my 83 3/4 ton GMC pickup.

Would like to get down that way some time. I keep telling the wife when her mother passes on and she is not tied down any longer looking after her I'd like to pack up the bike and get a camper trailer for it and head down to the southern US and just tour for 5 or 6 months!!

OK, I have them, just seemed to be more play in them then I thought there should be. I got my valve shims adjusted and installed the valve covers with the RSV gaskets. Torqued the valve covers to speck. I was lucky with the valve shims, even though they where all out of speck I was able to replace them all by either moving shims around or swapping out with the ones I got from Marcarl. Now to recheck/redo the carb sync then start putting parts back on the bike!!!

Do the black inner panels have grommets installed where the bolts attache them to the bikes frame? I'm asking because the panels seem to be too loose when you fasten them on to the frame.
