  3. Not motorcycle related but I thought I'd share this with those who think the Great Lakes are just large ponds. I like the last picture best. http://globalnews.ca/news/2395239/canadian-photographer-captures-stunning-images-of-lake-eries-liquid-mountains/?utm_source=Article&utm_medium=EditorsPick&utm_campaign=2015
  4. Get yourself some video games, alcohol of your choice, pizza and a comfy spot and enjoy the post operation down time. You'll be fine.
  5. In Ontario by definition in our motor vehicle act any motorized vehicle with 3 wheels or less is a motorcycle. So those three wheeled cars from Europe are considered motorcycles here.
  6. I find the big hump of a gas tank just ugly on any bike. That just doesn't turn my crank.
  7. :santa:Christmas....................BAH HUMBUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Don't want no pictures!!! Nothing less then a video will do on this one!!!!

  10. Well I sure wish my pension check reflected the taxes I pay!! Our new Prime-minister is our Obama! And us poor stiffs are going to pay big through the nose for ALL his big ideas about fixing the climate! And then our idiot Premier for Ontario selling off Ontario Hydro!! More Taxes once they spend all that money, which won't take long!!! Now you got me going!! I'm coming to live you!!!
  11. Canadian would be better! Considering a murder will get you less then 10 years, and king pin drug dealers get around 6 months. We would get told we where bad boys and pay a small fine if we said we where sorry, and would get a full discharge if we gave a few bucks to charity.
  12. The US Army used Harley Davidson Motorcycles to chase down Pancho Villa. Pancho escaped his pursuers by riding an.............Indian Chief Motorcycle!!!
  13. We cook turkey just so we can have left overs!!! And I don't need no da*n Holiday to cook one either!!!!
  14. Keep bragging Cowpuc and me and my misses is going to come and LIVE at your house!!!
  15. What kills me is we, as in Canadians, are paying $0.90 a liter here in Ontario, 1 us gal = 3.785 liters. Which = $3.40 a US gallon. But our border area refineries are trucking GAS across the border to be sold for under $2 a gallon. So we must be paying more for gas in Canada to make up for the lower gas prices in the US. So if you look at it from a Gas Companies CEO perspective it all evens out, for them. Pass the eggnog!!!!!
  16. Yes there pointing fingers at those who have left France to go fight for ISIS. I firmly believe that anyone who leaves there home country to fight for ANY terrorist group should have there passports pulled then put on a list of wanted terrorist then arrested and be tried as such. The French have brought this on them selves. They have allowed Islamic groups to form there own Islamic communities ruled by Shari Law. No French police are allowed in these areas and when they had the last round of terrorist attacks the perpetrators came from these self governed Islamic areas. In Islam there is only one religion and all others must be destroyed. What they can't take peacefully they will take with violence remember Islams ultimate goal is to create an Islamic world. I know I'll be condemned for this reply but it's the way the world is and one day the choice will come to are we all forgiving or do we protect OUR right to religious freedom??
  17. :snow2::snow2:SNOWSNOWSNOWSNOWSNOWSNOWSNOWSNOW:snow2::snow2: There, it had to be said!!! Besides it hides all the leaf's!!!!!
  18. First I must make a correction its a 51 not a 49. I have a before picture. This is the bike when he got it in his driveway. Many of the parts, small items mostly where not year correct. The original neck had been raked and he spent nearly a year searching for an original one in original condition. In fact the first 3 years where spent finding original numbered parts.
  19. He was hoping to have it done by September so he could at least get a couple miles on it. But things just didn't work out that way. I can't wait for it to get done he's talking about riding it down from Ottawa to my place 6hrs. I'll be sure to post the finished bike bike pics.
  20. My brother has put a lot of time and :mo money:into the restoration. right now it's down to installing all the parts. He spent a lot of time looking for original parts and many trips to the US. I know he paid $5000 for it originally, plus he had it shipped from Nova Scotia to Ottawa Ontario, and has put another $5000 at least into the restoration up to now.
  21. Just thought I'd share some pictures of my brothers 49 HD. It's being restored to showroom condition, with all original and matching parts. This project has been on the go for the last 3-4 years.

    Biker hit

Well I don't know what the road rules are in the US as far as crossing on a double solid line are BUT a neighbor who is a judge who deals with these types of accidents in Ontario told me that a double solid line in Ontario is just a cautionary warning that you should not pass on a double solid line, it is not an offense to pass on a double solid line. In cases where vehicles have been involved in similar incidents in Ontario the driver who was doing the passing on a double was not charged when the car that was in the proper lane hit them. In fact the driver in the right lane would be charged for not yielding right of way. At least that's how that judge rules on these cases.
