  1. Hmmmmm,,, ya sure ya wanna do that JD?? That Fool does all this weather manipulation in his spare time just to around here, Lord only knows what kind of disasters we would face if he was doing it full time:shock3:!!! ... I think I would be more inclined to support a petition to harass him more just to keep his devious mind busy and keep his fingers on the keyboard and away from that Wisconsin White Wash Machine!!!
  2. Once again,, you folks are AWESOME!! For some reason, the "THANK YOU" icon on my screen has disappeared so now I gotta say THANK YOU to each of you like this: THANK YOU!!!!! I will keep ya'll posted as this madness progresses,,, looks like its gonna be a pretty enlightening winter to say the least!! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and "solutions"! Puc
  3. Hmmmm,, everybody laughed last year when I was petitioning for regulations on that machine the Fool invented... Oh yea,,, everybody thought ol Puc was just being kinda cranky and just not able to get along with his neighbor... As I beat off the nay sayers I concluded that I was probably dealing with a bunch of toe nails who had obviously not grown up with people like FlyingFool,, and for sure had never had an extended dose of cabin fever... What they didnt realize was that I have lived around people like Flyingfool most of my life.. People who hide out in back alleys,, ride noisy motorcycles and concoct devices in their devious basements that aren't necessarily deadly BUT are certainly capable of falling into the category of being a menace to mankind.. As a child I was forced to pick Blue Berries to buy my own school clothes.. To help survive that ordeal, I would often join in "song" with other slaves being held for the same purpose.. We would sing songs about a guy named Bill Grogan and his goat eating clothes off a clothes line, a hat with three corners and stuff like that.. One day this particular inmate taught me a song about a person who, in memory,, reminds me a LOT of FlyingFool.. The song was about this other devious basement inventor named "Johnny Rebeck".. The only real difference between Johnny and the Fool was Johnny used the machine he invented to take people's cat and dogs and make sausages out of em.. If you have never heard this song and bump into me at a Rally,, just ask and I will sing it for you (or,, for your sanity,, you would probably be better off googling it) - its pretty enlightening if your seeking to understand the psychology of folks like the Fool.. And,, on another note of pure Puc wisdom,,, Fool,, you too might wanna take a listen to that song about Johnny too,, as I recall the "sausage machine" got the best of Johnny in the end and there wasnt even any mention in that song of Jet Fuel being any where near Johnny's machine,,,,,,,,,...
  4. Oopp,, oopp,, ya had er dialed in there pretty close for while Fool,, had to run in to the Doctor for some more stuff and it was nigh on a blizzard going in.. Didnt last long though, about 3 inches worth,, something obviously slipped on the machine again... Maybe you forgot to tighten the jam nuts on the leg adjustments after you tweeked on the nozzles... Wait minute,, wait minute,, wait just one minute here,, what in the wild world of sports is going on out there,, sitting here typing this message and White Wash cranked up hard enough I cant hardly see out the window,,,, holy cow poly,, ATTA BOY FOOL - let er buck,,,,,,,, oh my gosh - paybacks are a ...............
  5. :cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10: To Mr. and Mrs. CMCoffey: WHAT A PRINCESS THAT HAILEY IS:cool10::cool10:!! She is absolutely gorgeous you two :clap2:- CONGRATS on being blessed once again!! Make sure you give both your wife and that new one a special hug for Tippy and I Coff,, we are SO glad to hear they are both doing well Sonshine!! Hey Chris,, look closely at that picture,,, she has here Daddy's fingers,,, they are curled up in the perfect shape of a motorcycle grip and she is reaching out with her finger to tap on the front brake... Better keep a close eye on this one Sarge,, she is already making great plans:stirthepot: What a beautiful beautiful baby girl!!
  6. FlyinFool up to his tricks - grounds covered.. Prayers Up, Blessings Down!!
  7. Mr. Shuttlebug,,, WOW!!!! That puppy took one heck of impact to toss that frame like that,, SOOO GLAD YOU ARE OK!! I know you guys covered a LOT of miles with that GORGEOUS bike/trailer combo this last summer - it was soooo much fun camping with the two of you at the LooseMoose campground in Oregon.. I certainly hope that you work thru the injuries and are blessed with another bike - would love to do it all again someday!! Prayers Up as you proceed thru it all!
  8. WOW,, sorry I missed this,,, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINES!! Thanks to ALL you folks for being there for FREEDOMS SAKE!!!
  9. Take it from someone who knows Hugger,,, ya oughta think about having your brain checked for fluid leaks cause that aint normal!!!!
  10. Awe,, come on you guys,, lets give that poor Fool a break,, he probably just forgot to adjust the nozzles on his machine from "wide spray" to "spot spray" and ended up covering North America instead of his usual torment of just west Michigan... Hey Fly-intheointment-fool,, ,,, ya might wanna double check your nozzles and other aiming devices there my good friend,,, some of these elbows sound a little cranky with that last slip up :stirthepot: Oh,, by the way,,, it looks like the shot your taking at me this week,, you know,, the one that is suppose to over spray all the way down to Atlanta,,, is going to just scrape us a little on its way thru.. Dumping a foot or more south of us but only an inch or so for my house --- nahhhhh nahhh deeeeee booooo boooo:stickinouttounge:
  11. Keep it up there ya hog rider and we will have to rename the new VR - O.O.P.S.ORG for Oberlin Ohio's Partial System:big-grin-emoticon: Doing great Don - thanks again for your hard work!!
  12. Or,,, we could combine these two posts and put this another way,, hmmmmm,, lets see here... "Great weather for making snow and getting it to stick" could = "Stick it to THE FOOL for making snow and this great weather" "I know we frown on trailers here, but ya know....putting your scoot on a trailer and coming south for a week or so is always an option for those who love snowblowers. U Haul rents..." = "we frown on snowblowers so we haul snowblowers on trailers to THE FOOL who loves snowblowers and we scoot south" "Stick it to THE FOOL for making snow and this great weather, we frown on snowblowers so we haul snowblowers on trailers to THE FOOL who loves snowblowers and we scoot south" Let this forever stand as an example of how a person can twist someones words to make a point and remain totally innocent in the process doing so,,, "Just saying"... :cool10:
  13. Another quick thought for doing it on the cheap,,, start the bike up, let it warm for a couple minutes, put some spit on the tip of your finger - touch each pipe one at time with your damp finger (like checking a hot iron), make sure all 4 header pipes sizzle at touch (see if its even running on 4 at idle) - these engines are kinda sneaky, if your not use to em that can be running on three and an unfamiliar ear may not even notice it... Draggin a dead cylinder will certainly eat fuel and, could certainly show up on a vacuum gauge.. If ya got a dead one, do like VideoAZ mentioned, at least pull the plug on the dead jug and see if the plug is fouled... These little "D" plugs dont take to kindly to blackening from overfueling/choking..

    Why?

Why does this Dispatch Rider and his bike look sooooooooo good in this new shirt?
  15. Indeed,, THAT ONE DID IT!! I walked past Tweeks in the garage and her antelope horns started twitchin,, I said, whats wrong ol girl,, she mumbled something about someone yakking stuff about us,,, I dug around for my keyboard - found it buried in the camping department on Tweeks back (goofy kids never put stuff back where it belongs).. Sure enough,,,, ol Tweeks was right on the money!! THANKS FOR THE WELL WISH EUSA!! You made my day shine like Diamond!!
  16. and I just wish I could join ya, sitting here watching some of FlyingFools work fall from the sky (the Fool airmailed 2' of the nasty stuff to our U.P. - icky).... RIDE SAFE AND HAVE AN AWESOME TIME - DONT FORGET A PIC OR TWO FOR YOUR BUDDIES BACK HOME HERE.. Riding Iron Butt in November = OUTSTANDING!! Go get em Gez!!
  17. My oh my,,,, isn't it amazing how quickly our philosophies and lifestyles are forgotten when we are out of gas for a while?? I should be hurt by this appauling thread Diamond Guy,, I mean anybody who has hung around the Watering Hole should know the cup your passing around can not possibly hold water... I am really hurt... So,, ok,, the bike does look a little familiar,, and it does have that certain "Puc Appeal" to it but,,,, it has a GPS hanging on the bars for crying out loud!!! Obviously a Puc poser, probably what BikerJohn would call a Photo Chop Shop Job,,, certainly no way you would find me pulling into town with that anti social device hanging there where all the world can see it!! On another note,,, I LOVE that pic and that old scoot has potential,,, loose the GPS of course...
  18. BREAK BREAK BREAK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD BREAK,,, you two elbows quit your lip flapping - BREAAAAKKK!! There,, thats better,, sheeshhhhh,, Hey,, KRIDER,, welcome aboard and CONGRATS on the new bike!! You done well my friend,,,,, actually times 2 that - first with the bike, second by following Lewis here - stick around - this place is almost as much fun as riding a Venture!!!! P.S.,, ya might wanna question the type of friends you hang out with,, a true friend would make sure you ended up with the fastest of all Ventures (that would be an 83) - just thought I would mention that... Ok,, back to normal lip flapping ya bunch a toe nails..
  19. Ya know bro,, one of the things that I really really love about VR is that we can love and talk to each other like real brothers,,, kinda rare in life it seems... For me,, being, as you say, "wide open" has an amazing affect - it always seems to help just to know that I have friends who really do care.. That said, I want you to know that your old Pucster buddy is one of those friends - Prayers Up Dan!! In November of 03 I swerved my car as a White Tail Deer tryed to jump thru the windshield.. After using a tree for brakes, I woke up and pushed the airbag off the side of my face.. I had leaned away from the deer - hid my face behind the dash and the airbag had deployed against my left shoulder and my face had made contact with the center of dash board and chipped a couple teeth.. The medical people focused on my broken back which left me parallized. After 5 back surgeries, a year in a body cast (turtle shell) and wayyy more "pain management" drugs than anyone should ever take (I liked em,,, a lot), I found myself being declared "healed" by the car insurance companys doctor (we have "lifetime" car insurance care in Michigan,,, unless the insurance people decide they dont want that responsibility - if that is the case they just hire a doctor to declare you "healed" and you are healed and all better - its almost kind of a spirtual experience LOL...). Later, little things kept popping up,, just not "feeling" well at times - little periods of brain fogginess.. Just not able to focus and having a hard time concentrating.. Every once in a great while I would have these odd smells in my nose - some times it smelled like hot fiberglass, other times like burning electrical wiring.. Those episodes were not real frequent but in later years became more so.. I had complained to my doctors about it all thru the years BUT, most of them felt it was just getting over the surgeries, drugs and maybe some PTSD.. It seemed just not that big of a deal to me either and truthfully,, it came and left infrequently enough that I just lived with it.. Besides,, who the heck wants to deal with temporary medical stuff when ya got work to do, kids to play with, bikes to ride and life to live.. This year, for some reason,, it didnt just come and go.. Tippy says that the fogginess and "death stare" has been lingering since late last summer.. Looking back,, I thought I was going thru some midlife crisis stuff,, you know,, empty nest and all that - I had soooo much fun with the kids,, you know the routine.. I had also noticed major changes in my sleep habits (INSOMNIA), irritability, unable to focus, lack of thought clarity, tiredness, stinky nose, watering eyes, just feeling blahhh since this summer and I just got tired of it.. I switched doctors,, again,, in search of why... This new Doc, a young lady full of youthful vigger,, took me seriously.. Sent me off to another young specialist ENT - she told me he would remind me of Doogy Howser and he does.. Anyway,, he is the one that found this leaky brain fluid stuff, right after finding it he asked me how long it had been since I had head trauma.. I told him about my car accident and he said that residual affects of head injuries can go on for many many years and sometimes never do get treated.. That a lot of times in the medical field stuff like this is found by accident, if you will, and as a result of looking for something totally unrelated,,,,, go figure... After having my heart checked today and some blood drawn I had another regular Dr's appointment.. She asked how the the sinus polyp removal was coming.. I told her about the brain fluid stuff.. She had that same "deer in the headlights" look on her face that I am sure I had when the ENT told me about it (I even told her that). She said she felt bad for me cause this may be some very serious stuff.. I told her how THANKFUL I was to finally have someone take me serious about all this stuff and that just getting some kind of anwers made me feel better than I have in a long long time... Later, after examining my crippled up hands (I literally can only open my hands half way - they are permanently "c" shaped just like they are holding a set of bike grips LOL) and finding out that I apparently have "Gout" (arrrggg) - I made a comment about how getting old sucks,, she says,,,, Scott - I get that BUT obviously you have really really lived,, your body is worn out equally from top to bottom LOL... I truly am sorry for what ever is going on Dan,, I hope and pray that somehow they find out whats happening.. I am here for ya buddy!!! In the mean time,, try to focus on the positive memories of life,, you and I and our family here have sooooo many things to be thankful for,, we still got each other even if we are all worn out!!! Puc
  20. As always, TONS of good advice going on here.. Pulling the air filter, starting her up and watching those slides will tell ya alot about how its responding to the vacuum.. If you have a stuck a slide, I would be very careful using anything to pry it open - that slide material is pretty brittle.. Just use caution with them when prying on em.. You will probably find it necessary to pop the diaphram covers to get the slides out and get them to slide properly anyway - if you have a stuck one you may as well start by pulling the covers and use your finger inside the slide (along with carb cleaner around the slide) to get it to move.. Those slides should move freely with no stickiness.. On another note, you should look your carb overflows over very very carefully.. A sticky float valve can really fool ya and can dump a lot of fuel out as your traveling down the road.. Just check the ends of all the overflow tubes and see if you have dampness on them... Of course, ANY sign of drippage while sitting idling should NOT be happening..

  24. By the way,, I LOVE your quote!! Is that something you came up with?
  25. Hmmmm,,,, that wasnt the day last year that the Wisconsin White Wash Maniac (aka FlyingFool) forgot to set the timer on his machine of misery and ended up blanketing all of North America in white wash and sub zero temps was it?? Only reasonable explanation I can come up with..
