  1. I don't know if I can be of any help to you guys but a friend of mine has an '06 RSTD and he is on his 3rd radiator. He has had the same problem with leaking. Seems to me that Yamaha has installed some bad radiators for a couple of years. So far he is having good luck with the 3rd one. You may want to check with the dealer that did all the work and is pretty knowledgeable about the problem. Contact the owner, Mike at Cyclesport Yamaha, Hobart, IN. Sorry don't have the fone number...just google it. I hope I have helped.
  2. Guess it's that time of the year again. Just filled the tank, added some Seafoam, ran the carbs dry...then drained the bowls and covered her up for a long winters nap. For now I'll just rummage thru my memory of the few miles I have had with my new RSV and dream of the miles that will eventually come as springs forces winter back up to the North Pole and summer once again will warm my windshield.
  3. Thanks to Starfan and djh3. Schematic helps a lot and the pics from djh3 is also helpful. at least I can see what I'm in for. Thanks again guys!
  4. I have a "new" 2012 RSV and just turned 655 miles. There one problem. There is too much play in the throttle. I get about a quarter turn from stop to when the throttle starts to increase in rpm. I can see that under the tank on the left side of the bike is where the throttle cables attach to the little gadget that controls the carbs. There are two cables and each has an adjustment but I can't get to them with a wrench unless the tank is removed. I tried 3 times to explain this to my dealer but those boneheads only tried to adjust the play up at the throttle grip. All that did was make the throttle stick. Not good. I guess they didn't want to spend their time and money on warrantee work. So I guess I have to do this myself. My question...........how difficult is it to remove the Venture gas tank? And, am I going to the right place to adjust the cables? Any help on this would make me a very happy person. Thanks...
