Eck thanks for the good will jester but I would not ask or accept one that was purchased that way. It is not the money, it is the principle of the thing. I will continue to believe that it unfortunately fell off, as it is hard to accept that someone from this group took it. Thanks for your post however, I don't think I ever checked the fasteners on mine. I hope you had a great bike trip recently. Next year we will have to post a guard at the hotel. Dano Posted July 9, 2008 Share #32 Posted July 9, 2008 Double D, I remember talking with you just before you left the hotel on Sunday morning, we got in late Saturday nite and up early (well, for me on a Sunday it was early!), but nobody would have done anything with one of us being there. I know about the thievery, the wind took my right lower fairing vent right off my bike on the way to Loudonville, OH over the weekend, didn't even know it was gone till we got there...... PVSoonerFan Posted July 9, 2008 Share #34 Posted July 9, 2008 Sorry to hear of your lost cap. I too have almost lost the front chrome cap on my '07 RSV. I had already lost the right side bolt & nut when I noticed it was loose and luckily the left side was still pretty secure. I had my dealer replace the right side hardware with no problem.
