wizard Posted July 4, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2008 I'm not trying to stir the pot, but there are some using a car tire, Dunlop Sport5000, 195/60/16 tire, run at 32 or 34 lbs. of pressure. Just a suggestion.
Freebird Posted July 4, 2008 Share #3 Posted July 4, 2008 OK....now I have to add the standard disclaimer to every car tire thread. Please save me the trouble and just read the sticky on the Darksiders forum. Otherwise, every tire thread will turn into a debate.
pegscraper Posted July 4, 2008 Share #4 Posted July 4, 2008 Does Avon not make either size, or just one of them? What's on the bike stock? I suppose Brickstones.

Sailor Posted July 6, 2008 Share #6 Posted July 6, 2008 Did you check out the Avon website? My dealer told me they did not make Avons for the Venture. I printed out the info from the site and slapped it on his desk. Had the Avons two days later.
Two Tone White Posted July 6, 2008 Share #7 Posted July 6, 2008 Did you check out the Avon website? My dealer told me they did not make Avons for the Venture. I printed out the info from the site and slapped it on his desk. Had the Avons two days later. I just went through the same thing. He said they were a) discontinued, and B) never made for the correct sizes of 150/90 and 150/80. Avon Fitment Guide demonstrates otherwise. Jokers. hig4s Posted July 6, 2008 Share #8 Posted July 6, 2008 After a little research, the only brand I could find that makes a 170/70-16 is Bridgestone.. Venoms use to come in 180/70-16, you should still be able to find one of those, and the Avon AM-21 comes in 130/90-16 it should work fine with a Venom rear, if you can fit a
Redneck Posted July 6, 2008 Share #9 Posted July 6, 2008 When I read the title I was going to suggest 5% seven dust for the ticks. I really don't know what to tell you on the tire situation maybe you should have bought a real bike like a venture.:rotf:
