stanG Posted October 29 Share #1 Posted October 29 Hello all, It's been a while since I've been on but this place has been a treasure fro me when working on both my 83 and my 2004. When I crashed that 83 after hitting a deer about 8 years ago it was with help from Bongo and Puc that landed me the parts to fix it and neither of them would take dime for them, not even for the shipping. That is why I am offering up this light bar and lights for an RSV at NO CHARGE to the member that has the most creative reason why they should have it. I would give the condition about 8-9 out of 10 and you will have everything you need but the wiring and switch. (That's not rust in the pics, it's a reflection of my shirt) I'll let this go for two weeks and then I'll pick a winner.
N3FOL Posted October 29 Share #2 Posted October 29 I am following this thread. The light bar looks great!
Marcarl Posted October 29 Share #3 Posted October 29 Now if I were the one to get this lightbar I would be tempted to go out and purchase a scooter to put it on. Or maybe modify the Spyder or the 86 I have presently in stock. My wife says,, NO!!!
N3FOL Posted October 30 Share #4 Posted October 30 @Marcarl I think you should tell your wife the scooter or bike is for her after all...it might work. Hopefully someone will be interested on the light bar. Looking forward to read some 'creative reasons' from anyone.
RDawson Posted October 30 Share #5 Posted October 30 This was me coming thru a tunnel on the parkway last week. I had hit the airhorn to see how much the wife would jump at the echo, laughed at her and exited the tunnel to find carnage. Three cars, two bikes, and a hiker in a pile, parts scattered everywhere. The first car upon hearing the horn and seeing a single yellow light thought he was meeting a freight train panicked, locked the brakes and lost control wreaking havoc. Three cars, two bikes, and a hiker in a pile, parts scattered everywhere. Luckily no injuries but it took two days to figure out which parts went to which vehicle. Lawyers are recommending I add more lights to look less like a locomotive. The best news out of it was that me hitting that broken truck bumper shook two lost 10mm sockets from somewhere in the motor and landed on my floorboard. You almost had me thinking this was true story,,, until,,, the 10mm socket evidence, then the whole story fell apart,,,, they never, ever, never get found!! Ha. He said creative not factual. 🤪🤪🤪 Besides that I haven’t seen my bike in a few weeks, it’s on a stand under a cover locked away until spring. I finally had the back surgery I’ve been putting off for years, doc says absolutely no riding, wife would kill me if I even mentioned it.

That just goes to show that I can be gullible, not often mind you, but there are weak spots. Hope your back heals good and well and the pain doesn't drop to lower levels.
