Yammer Dan Posted July 4, 2015 Author Share #27 Posted July 4, 2015 Bob it started when I thought I needed a 2nd Gen. Not really but that was too good of a chance for a old 1st Genner. What happened?? Traffic stopped in front of me and I stopped bike. Forgot to tell self. "We are stopping here." Really ain't got a clue but me and brakes weren't on same page!! Yammer Dan Posted July 4, 2015 Author Share #28 Posted July 4, 2015 I PICKED IT UP TODAY!!!!:banana: Front pegs and bars are bent in enough to push floorboard up and jam shifter. So it is jammed in gear. I got it up off kickstand, pulled in clutch and it fired right up. Ran it until it got warm. Bubs sound pretty. Sorry you didn't get to hear them Boss. I was going to start trying to clear the shifter but she was making threats...... I thought I heard the unmistakeable sound of a frying pan whistling thru the air..... So are you up to 16 ribs now? Yammer Dan Posted July 5, 2015 Author Share #35 Posted July 5, 2015 I was sitting on bike with it running when she got there. I guess she never thought about how it got up off the sidestand. Which was not fun!!! I don't think I'll tell her that one......
Great White Posted July 5, 2015 Share #36 Posted July 5, 2015 I'd stop pee-ing her off and start doing what she tells you if I were you. All she has to do is blow some pepper in your face and you're down for the count......
Yammer Dan Posted July 5, 2015 Author Share #37 Posted July 5, 2015 I am treading lightly. Got to look "Silver" over a little more. Made sure I didn't touch tools... She was watching closely. I destroyed one of the Passing Lamps and a Rear antenna. The rest I don't see anything that can't be repaired. May have to paint upper fairing and radiator cover. Thing took a pretty hard lick and came up ticking. I can't find just one of the passing lights anywhere, the antenna shouldn't be hard if I could remember the name of it!! GAWildKat Posted July 6, 2015 Share #38 Posted July 6, 2015 Dan! What did I tell you about behaving? Stay away from the bikes! Now stay in the house like a good man or a road trip is coming and I won't be happy if I miss Vogel over funding....

Yammer Dan Posted July 7, 2015 Author Share #45 Posted July 7, 2015 It acturally felt pretty good when I laid down but had to wake the Warden to get up!! All the breaks except for the clavical are left side. Thats the side I'm used to sleeping on. Not anymore!! Major soreness today. The VA claims they recomended a specialist. After 5 Weeks what is he going to do?? Think they are a little slow?? I just ain't bouncing back the way I used to.
Flyinfool Posted July 7, 2015 Share #46 Posted July 7, 2015 I think your bouncing days are getting pretty limited....... Hopefully you did not undo any healing that had been happening by laying the wrong way. Prayers and best wishes for you get things put back together ASAP. Warden is gonna knock some sense into you yet. But she might need a new frying pan by the time this is all over with, the one she has must have a lot of dents in it by now. Yammer Dan Posted July 7, 2015 Author Share #47 Posted July 7, 2015 It brought on some major soreness again. VA claims they are getting things set up?? I knew they were slow but this is crazy. 5 weeks of sitting around like this is enough.
Yammer Dan Posted July 8, 2015 Author Share #48 Posted July 8, 2015 Still nothing from VA. You can bet I ain't sleeping like that again.......OUCH!!!!
CaptainJoe Posted July 8, 2015 Share #49 Posted July 8, 2015 You still have 5 weeks to go before those ribs are going to get back to normal. Don't rush it... Besides, what can you do for busted ribs beside waiting for them to heal???
Yammer Dan Posted July 8, 2015 Author Share #50 Posted July 8, 2015 Goggle the Flail Chest thing Joe. How can this heal without being stabilized somehow?? Fractures can heal but from what I was told these are pretty good breaks and moving every time I move. I can wait if thats what it takes but VA just don't want to give up their plan. Still suposed to see specialist about it. Been waiting couple weeks for that appointment. And this big sore knot I have just under the ribs. I would like to know what it is but no info but We'll check on that.
