star4772 Posted October 24, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2013 Well had a close call today man upstairs must of been watching. Almost got nailed today walking Oreo by a rattle snake, I believe it touched my pant leg as I jumped about 3 feet. Neighbor come running out and thought I had tripped until she seen what was happening. Called 911 they sent animal control to pick up if they didn't show up I was going to shoot it. It was about 3 1/2 feet. Never been so scared.

mini-muffin Posted October 24, 2013 Share #4 Posted October 24, 2013 Haven't run across one of them but we do have the other types cotton mouth and such. I just use a shovel. Smack the head and chop it off, done. I'm pretty good at it too. Margaret

rickardracing Posted October 25, 2013 Share #6 Posted October 25, 2013 Watch wood piles, scorpions love those. When I worked in Tempe in 2009, a buddy had an upsairs apartment. Found a white scorpion on the kitchen floor!!

slowrollwv Posted October 25, 2013 Share #12 Posted October 25, 2013 A friend was bow hunting in WY a few years ago and had to go, so he squatted down under a pine tree and then he heard this rattle, he thought it was a grass hopper till he turned to see one about 3 1/2 ft long curled and ready to strike. He die have to go change his pants.
