Need help with a 2002 Gold Wing problem.

I have a friend, Bro. Richard, A Baptist Minister and fellow CMA member who owns this Gold Wing.

 

He has asked me a tech question and I don't knw but I assured him that I had other friends

(namely youse guys) who might be able to help.

 

He has added rear speakers with volume control and they work; but, now he has no intercom.........he can hear on the intercob but can not talk through it.

 

Any ideas???

Hubby says he may have gotten the grounds mixed up for the speaker and microphone. Or the rheostat could have too high a resistance. He's leaning towards the ground mix up. He did say if ya want give him a call his phone number is in his profile. (muffinman in case ya didn't know)

Maybe he has the volume turned up too high. Tell him to turn everything down and off and then try again.

did it quit working when he added the speakers or did it work for awhile then quit?

I am under the impression it did not work after the install.
