Bike wouldn't start

Recommended Posts

I decided to take the bike to work tonight. Weird thing happened. The starter turned the engine over just fine but it would not fire. Choke in, choke out it didn't matter. Finally, I shut off the ignition then turned it back on and tried it. Now it started right up and has started just fine three more times.

Should I be concerned? Perhaps, the ignition switch is going bad? The bike is fairly new (07) with only 9,000 miles.

The ignition switch should be covered under warranty, but the normal problem with the ignition switch is lack of power to everything excpet the radio. So you would not be able to crank the engine over.

There is two different size wires on the ignition switch a small wires (appprox 16 gauge) and the 10 gauge wire. Your problem could be the switch but your problem would be opposite to most.
