Since I have joined here I have been searching to try to figure out how to post a message I can post a reply but can't figure out how to post a new message and I am sure a lot of other new users are the same way,This is not an easy site to navigate for new users.

OK OK I admitt it I am a Lurker, what ever that is, I am also a Venture Rideraholic. I admit I can't stop reading these post. One of the reasons I don't leave a message is that everything I have wanted to know has already been posted. I just do a search and wala there it is. I am lookin forward for the Ralley next August in Harrison. That is only about 40 miles from where I live and I can drive back and forth everyday.

It is more important to be a good listener than a good talker. A big hug out to everyone....

If you are on the Home Page Click Forum at top menu bar,go to whichever pertains to subject you are asking about IE 2nd Gen etc, then click Thread Starter and get after it. Tom

If you're looking to start a new thread there's a button on the top of the page that says new thread. Hit that and type away. If you need anything else just ask, one of us will be able to help you out.

Ok, here I thought I was doing good? What page? Where? I can't find anything that says "NEW THREAD"? I have to do like "Tom" says and go to the "Forum" page. Is there a quicker way?

You can do it from whatever forum page you go to. Like at the top of the page when you come into wateringhole it's at the top on the left. Below which you see all the threads that have been posted.

There's only this way that I know of. You have to be in the section you want to make the new thread in.

Well DUH, I never new that. :bang head: I always go to "New Posts" and my Firefox just keeps refreshing the page every minuet while I am on another tab. Didn't know you could go to "Watering Hole" anytime you want. Got use to just going like I do.

Thanks Margaret!

How does the old saying go?

"You can lead a horse to water, but ya can't make him drink" ... and then there are some (like moi) who just drink and drink and drink ... :rasberry:

Cheers,

I thought that old saying was:

"You can lead a horticulture..........

but you can't make her think!" :rotfl:

Hi folks. I am a lurker, gleaner, user of great tech info, and now a new poster.

I have an 07 RSV, and used to be a gen 1 rider until it got totalled in a rear ender this spring while I was standing near it. But that's another story.

Like several of you, I am having some of the radio issues, of squealing, cutting out, and no control over the settings. My dealer's service department split the fairing and did the connector dance. Now he is going to order the replacement controller.

Gonna ride Brown County next week with several of our church biker club folks.

So there ya are. I am not lurking any longer

For a non computer guy I was very apprehensive to post when joining this site. I first replied with caution to one of the threads and was met with great welcoming, which of course gave me more courage to reply to another. Then that frightful day came when I wanted to post. I too could not figure out how to post (remember I'm not a computer guy.... I'm a dog-guy) Fortunately I met Don himself at the Kitchner rally and he patienty talked me through the process without making me feel stupid.

This site truely attracts the good motorcycle people.

For those that like to read the posts, keep reading and enjoy them, but if you ever want to add your two cents or tell us of a great ride you just had or close call while riding, please start a new thread and watch the group respond.
