Guest Angus Posted October 17, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 17, 2008 I was just curious how fast or slow a RSTD runs a 1/4 mile and Speed. It sure feels slow compared to my FJR.

RSTDdog Posted October 18, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 18, 2008 I'm no engineer, but roughly 30% less horsepower and 30% more weight might have something to do with it. I won't be dragging racing any FJRs for pink slips....
N3FOL Posted October 18, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 18, 2008 RSTD sure is a heavy machine.
lockdoc Posted October 18, 2008 Share #5 Posted October 18, 2008 I read somewhere that it does a 13.76 which is pretty respectable. (same bore and stroke as your FJR)
N3FOL Posted October 18, 2008 Share #6 Posted October 18, 2008 Maybe strip some of the chrome and metal parts on the RSTD. I bet it will do better than 10 !
AZSpyder Posted October 18, 2008 Share #7 Posted October 18, 2008 Looks like someone got a 99 Venture to do 13.65. Would a RSTD be a bit faster being a bit lighter or is the Venture better at top end drag with a fairing to break the wind? Should be close.
