Came back in from garage around9pm after I took out overflow tank to get better access to wiring, pulled bolt holding wiring to drive-shaft housing but having hard time figuring how it is holding wires, saw pictures of this area but can't find it yet! Cleaned all crud off of Cover2 and scraped off old gasket. Cleaned some of the frame and wires ,also cleaned some of the oil pan also! Finally came in as back can't do long stints like I used to,even with bike on table about 24 to 30in off the ground! At least I'm not on the ground doing this! Have to take dog to groomers tomorrow so won't get much done tomorrow but will try to do what I can!

Good riding weather is here, this is a great bike and road ready.

Got garage organized enough to have more than enough room and places to put parts on when dismantling what I need to take off! Punched holes in small box to hold bolts in order of disassembly! After taking farthest chrome part(half moon shaped) from cover2 looks like there was a small leak somewhere as there is a LOT of crud on it and everything under bike! Have oil drained, exhaust disconnected, all bolts except one each cover till ready to take off and also make sure all oil is drained then will try to clean all crud from oil pan, frame ,hoses and wires before I get too far!

Ed @Zzyzx Williams is the only one I know of still selling them. I was building some with legs but closed my shop after back surgery. -
I had to replace the thermostat and one of the sensors on my 2007 many years ago, I did not remove the radiator, pulled the tank and did all the work from the top. I do not recall it being overly difficult.
-
anyone know whether itz easier to get to the thermostat down from the top or take the radiator out? looked in the tech section and didn't find anything.
-
ckecked those already n they're dry. thought bout those. no, itz wet up front just down from where the thermostat is. TNKZ!

Depends on exactly where it’s leaking from. It is very common for them to leave at the freeze plugs behind the fake cylinder find. Very easy and cheap fix.

have developed an antifreeze leak at the front of my 06 venture, didn't leak till i brought it home from storage. leaked just sit'n in the garage. jacked it up n looked under and itz wet from the front to back. isn't wet at the top. starts bout half way down, can't see for sure but believe it'z com'n from the thermostat housing. gonna order new thermostat n o-rings and then dig into it. any thoughts or advice, TNKZ!~

Never sold parts or bikes before, so asking advice on how to proceed. Here is what I have: 2006 RSV black cherry mostly disassembled. 140,000 miles on engine (all me), fluids drained and valve shims removed. Engine ran fine. Rear pumpkin gear teeth stripped. Inner fairing has cracks, but intact. All other body parts in fair shape plus I have extra saddle bags and fairings that have some cosmetic damage. 2000 RSV Millennium #404/1500. 59,000 miles (22k of which were me). Decent condition and ran great until an electrical issue that I could not figure out. Been sitting for a couple of years. I still ride my 2004 RSV, but my wife is getting tired of the hanger queen garage scene. Would probably accept offers as long as it isn’t a loss if shipping is required. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks David Nelson
