Nope. I don't need a stator, at least not yet. I was thinking of getting a replacement stator / gasket to keep handy in case of failure, which seems to sometimes happen, and usually at a bad time. I see there's stators readily available online, but prices are all over the map. What should I look for and what should I avoid? Opinions appreciated.

Yea it’s running fine but I’d have to look it up but I think I saw something that had you changing them at some ridiculous point but hey I’m not a mechanic. Thanks

I used to put new plugs in my '83 and '86 every year, but I haven't changed the plugs in my '06 RSV since 2019.

Hey don’t know but I remember seeing something about the spark plug intervals and seemed like you don’t get a lot of miles out of the plugs . Is it really necessary to change them this frequently. I just hate taking off all that stuff to get to them , are the videos really correct that you have to remove the fuel tank to get them out ? I have a 2004 midnight venture . Thanks

Good morning to all. Today, Friday, may be the best day to cut my grass after all the rain we've had over the last few days. Weather forecast has stated that our first heat wave is coming our way starting this weekend and throughout of next week. With that said, my consolation is that I get to ride again to and from wherever my destination is. Ride safe.

I'm not on this site very often.

After several websites had me chasing my tail for the location of the tip over switch AI finally indicated that the 2005 did not use this switch on this year model, only the engine kill switch on the handle bar. I think AI apparently got it right.

Thank you for your input, you are one of very few who eve take the time to respond. Having said that, this far from the first time I have not received any response regardless of a single or double post. It's at time like this I question the value of paying for this site. One would think others have had similar issues to many issues I have posted about. I can't have the only older RSTD. On the bright side, I'm learning more and more about my bike and how to take of many of the issues. Again, thanks for your input.

Maybe i can give you some insight into why no-one responded. They probably figured that you would get your answers from the other post. Suggest you post only once and once only to get more attention and replies.

Don't know why the fuses are not accessible for everything. It's good to work on your bike, knowledge is a good thing.I try to do everything I can. Lot's of information here .
