  1. Today
  2. That would be great.Thanks
  3. I just used the fuel line segment that came from the petcock and looped it back into the fuel inlet at the back of the carbs. Removed the rest of the fuel line and the pump. When I get a chance, I'll take and post pictures.
  4. I got in 80-90 miles today.
  5. I've heard a bit about this before. Did u just remove the pump and join the inlet and outlet hoses together or reroute the supply line directly to the carbs?
  6. Yesterday
  7. Same here...not much riding this winter season not like the previous winters we had. I don't think there is much chance for me to ride for the next 3 days, but Saturday is a tad promising. If mother nature cooperates, I am simply just going for a quick spin on both bikes. Nothing more. As for Friday the 13th, I am a very superstitious person. Always ride with caution.
  8. Haven't been out this winter like I normally have! Mostly because mother nature can't make up her mind ! Either too cold, rain, snow or too windy! Also Phantom Wife! Hopefully will be able to ride to Friday The 13th in Port Dover Ontario(around an hour ride) There are 3 Friday The 13th this year!
  9. Down here one day I am riding in a t-shirt, next day I am out all bundled up! But ride I do.
  10. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/forums/topic/58615-what-did-you-do-to-your-venture-today/page/58/#findComment-819668 Check this out. I've driven just over 1100 miles since removing the fuel pump from my 2001 RSV. No issues.
  11. Last week
  12. Thanks for the info. I"ll have a look at the points before riding season.. Cheers
  13. I inspect the points when I do my Spring service. If they’re showing wear I replace them.
  14. Yes, you need to solder one connection. Watch this video.
  15. So for now, the fuel pump on my bike is working fine. What i'm thinking is to get a set of points for the pump in case of trouble. Looking at K+L 18-4615 on Amazon. The question I have is can they be changed out if I"m on a trip and it fails? Do they require any soldering of leads or are they a quick change with with a few tools that can be done on the side of the road? Cheers
  16. Good morning to all! We are supposed to have good weather today, so I just might be able to rinse and wash the truck. Enjoy your day.

  18. Hello Venturerider community. Have a Good night and patiently waiting for rain to come by Friday and Saturday to wash off all the salt and grime off the road.
  19. Good morning to All! I am back to what most adults do this week. Back to work! Have a great day.
  20. it might if it wasn't diluted.
  21. I thought carb cleaner would damage the rubber seals and the fuel needle tip which is rubber usually.
  22. Nah, 1 can. Warm and cool engine 4 times to get the cleaner to soak.
  23. so you need 4 cans of cleaner?
  24. we rode about 100 miles on Dec 26, 72 degrees. we just followed the front wheel through some back roads
  25. Glad to hear you got the chance to ride. On my end, we got a little busy just after Dec. 23 with friends and family coming and going and going somewhere else and doing other things other than riding. I am itching to ride as soon as the weather breaks for the better in Pa. It is 23°F and it feels like 11°F. That is too cold for me. As a consolation, I had just renewed my SVTC's vehicle registration so it has something to do with my bike. lol I am praying for warmer temps to roll in our neck of the woods someday.
  26. I’ll ride a snowman ride the 1st and a Patriot Guard escort the 2nd. Supposed to be in the 50’s both days.
  27. It may be winter but I'm still taking advantage of the weather when I can. So far, I was riding in November and December.
