Dave3 Posted December 17, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 17, 2008 I put a set of Longhorn Duallies on my RSV on Sunday, rode to work on Tuesday and noticed a crack on the clevis. Upon further investigation, both left and right pegs were cracked in the same place. The shop I purchased them from said they will swap them out. Has anybody had issues with Kuryakyn pegs? pegscraper Posted December 17, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 17, 2008 Not cracking, no. The chrome has checked and flaked off of mine and they don't look real great. And the chrome is scraped completely off the outside bottom edges. Oh, I guess that one is my fault. They keep touching down.
RedRider Posted December 17, 2008 Share #3 Posted December 17, 2008 I've had longhorns on my RSV for 2 riding seasons now. They look as good as the day they got put on - with the exception of bug splatter. However, in light of your discovery, I will be checking them a little closer. Dave3 Posted December 19, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted December 19, 2008 I wonder what the percentage is of cracked clevis. I'm sure Kuryakyn won't admit they have a problem. As a safety issue, I know I don't want to have a peg fall off while my feet are stretched out cruising down the highway at the posted legal speed. If the replacement set cracks as well, I'll be returning the for a refund not a replacement.
