  3. Thanks man. I am going to take it to a welding shop next to where i work and let him see what he can do. I'd love to ride to your neck of the woods and have you fix it for a DOUBLE ice cream cone but you know how it is. To many roads and not enough time...
  4. Hello folks, I noticed yesterday that the trunk on my 09 RSV was loose when i went to open it. I looked underneath the trunk at the frame that supports the trunk, a kinda lite gauge tubular steel, and a weld had broke. Its a joint directly unerneath the trunk on the right side. The tubular support is hanging on a bolt that is tied into the passenger seat mount. Can someone give me any ideas to fix this so it doesnt happen again. Should i take it to a weld shop and see if the can weld it? Should i replace it? Thanks:lightbulb:
  5. I have a 09 RSV with 32k on her. i saw a puddle starting to form under the bike, almost directly under the forward seat, on the left side, under the rear head I found a small bolt head that was wet. It appears to be dripping off the fins of the head but cant see it an actual drip. The bolt head sits on rubber which i originally thought was a metal deck but its not. Has anyone ever dealt with this? The bike is under warranty till June. Anyone heard of a possible recall for this problem? Any insight is greatly appreciated
  6. We are in Erwin Tennessee. The time frame you are talking about is usually dry with temps in the 60s down into the 40s and occasional frost. we should be getting back from a trip out west but will try to catch up with you then
  7. Can anyone give me an insight on heated grips for a 2nd gen RSV and also suzuki Volusia? My wife and I are headed out west in mid October and we will have some long days in the saddle and would like not to be hampered by cold hands. Any info, links, brands ect would be appr;eicated. Thanks
  8. Have you decided on a mounting system yet? I am looking at the RAM system for my RSV.
  9. I've been riding 18 years in October. I try to take the ERC every year. Alot of the folk who take it have been riding over 40 years. I like to hang out and ride with people who are better than me so I can learn and pass it on. It alot of fuN...
