  7. Thanks Drews for coming to PIP this year. I hope you come back next year. It was great to meet you and shot the BS for a couple of days. Thanks to all that attended. It was great meeting the new guys. LOL
  8. I would like to see more photos from all around the bike. Yes it is BAD ASS! Bubber
  9. We lost a lot of good men in that war. God bless them all and their families who sacrificed so much for us all! God bless all that serve and protect the rights of all American citizens. It makes me so sad to think of the unholy and un-godly things these soldiers had to see and endure. As stated: We lost a lot of good men in that war.
  10. My dad use to do short wave radio. He would sit in his radio shack as we called it for hours listening to signals from all around the world. He finally got his license late in life but I think he still did more listening than talking. He had a wire antenna that stretched across the lot to a tree on the other side. It must have been 100 feet long or so, My dad never spent a buck on anything he could make himself. With ten kids there wasn't must extra money for that kind of stuff. Thinking back he was a very smart man who could figure out almost anything. I wish sometimes that I was just half as smart as he was. Unfortunately he was smart with mechanical stuff, electricity and radios and the like, just wasn't so good with people. He was pretty much a loner, we always thought he would have made a great hermit. He spent a lot of time with this toys taking things apart just to see how they worked. I remember sitting there watching him take things apart and they place it back where he just took it out of. Just to see how it went together. He was a very inquisitive man. I think that is kind of lost in today's society. Well I got way off the subject here, guess I was just remembering a great man in my life. Carry on. OVER Bubber
  11. Now that was funny. What about all those green peoples? Shouldn't they have a slogan too? Or don't they matter enough?????
  12. I'll have to go look up BLM land. thanks Bubber OK I found it. Bureau of Land Management.
  13. I have looked at the grass lands site but I am still going to see if a rancher will allow us to hunt on his land. I would rather do that than go to a property controlled by a government entity. Just allergic to BS and stupid rules that they don't even understand what they are supposed to accomplish.
  14. Thanks cimmer But I am not interested in a organized hunting expedition. Looking for a rancher who would allow us to shoot as many of the varmint at no cost to him or us. I was hoping it would be of mutual benefit to the rancher and us. Maybe I am all wet here but that is what I was looking for.
  15. My understanding is once they are hit with a 22-250 there is nothing but a puff of red or "what was that". So no cleaning necessary. Food for hawks and coyotes. But since there is no value to the rancher they appreciate anyone taking the largest amount possible. I guess cows tend to break legs if they get their legs stuck in the holes. kind of a service to the rancher for eliminating them or at least as many as possible. Hey folks I still need a lead to contact someone about the P-dog hut. ANYONE?
  16. PEOPLE FOCUS will ya LOL IT's all about me here, at least that is what I tell my brother. So no leads to spot to go prairie dog hunting yet. And no we are not changing the name of Pork in the Pines. But if we don't get more attendance at the PIP we will be serving a mystery meat from ND.or WY. HELP folks before this post is taken over by aliens or some other subject. Thanks all Bubber
  17. So this is definitely a non MC related post. I want to plan a prairie dog hunt out in the Dakotas or Montana/ Wyoming for next year. So I am looking for a contact to make this happen next spring/summer time frame. Does anyone have a contact so I can contact them and arrange this hunt with them for me and my brother? We would be self sufficient camping on the land. If you know someone or have a contact please send me a message and we can take it off line from there. Thanks Bubber
  18. These are all of Yellowstone Last update I promise.
  19. MY last update I promise. I just got back (10-1-18) from traveling the west with the Scamp camper I bought. We have a pig roast every year on Labor Day and from there I headed west. Got to Devils Lake ND and guess what no front brakes, Sound familiar? Got them fixed the next day and was on my way, $300 poorer. traveled out through Montana stopping where ever I wanted and say what I thought would be interesting. Went to where Custer got his ass handed to him by the Indians. Met two Aussies that were traveling the US. I had a great time BSing with them. They invited me to visit them in Brisbane Australia. I may do that in the Spring. Finally made it to Yellowstone National Park. It was 34 degree that night. I then carried on to Cody WY where I stayed a couple of days. Went to the Buffalo Bill Museum which really takes two days.I really like that town, only thing is that every time you turn around there is a fee for something. But that was true during the whole trip. Got a call from daughter in Denver and I high tailed it to here a few days early. She headed out of town on business and I dog sat her boarder collie. I had a great time being with her. She is so much got it together then when she was a teenager. She makes me so proud.. I finally had to leave last Sunday so I got up about 7am and headed out. I know driving across Nebraska is boring but it is very long too. Finally got to Iowa about 6:30 PM and wasn't tired so I just kept moving. got to Des Moine and still wasn't tired so I headed North to St.Paul. well I got home about 1 AM Monday morning. total of driving 19 hours, then I was finally tired and slept 12 hours. I was gone the whole month of Sept and I loved it. I dug up dinosaurs in Thermopolis WY. went to the dig site with a guide I just happened to be the only one on the tour so I got an up close and personal tour of the site. Yellowstone was magnificent, It is just such a treasure for all Americans. You just have to see it to really appreciate it. Most wild place I could ever imagine. I got lots of pictures, on thing I haven't been good at in the past. But this time I took a bunch of pictures. I am just back in the recovering mode this week. Oh ya, Now I am having the rear brakes fixed on the truck. while I was in Denver I went to a place called Brakes Plus and they told me that the rear brakes were gone. which I figured they were on their way out. then he comes back and says that the brakes, (rotors, calipers, shoes, axle seals, brake lines need to be flushed, rear end oil needs to be removed and replaced...... on and on and on). they told me it was going to be $1400.00. I drove the truck back to MN like that and my neighbor who is a Chevy Mechanic (he has a lift and shop in his garage) is fixing it. not sure what the bill is yet but is sure the hell less than $1400.00. Bill turned out to be $364. I tipped him $20 to get a case of beer. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. All in all I had a great time and met some great people along the way. Ain't that the way it is supposed to be?????
  20. Well folks since leaving PIP I headed west into uncharted land call North Dakota, it is a beautiful state with wide open spaces, just meandered along till I got to Devils Lake where my brakes on the Ford decided to take a dump, $300 later I was back on the road. All is good now. Had a great time at PIP met two great guys who I hope return again and again. we literally ate high off the hog. since we had a smaller crowd we cooked up the back strap (loin). It was fantastic thanks to some help from Bill. well I am now in Medora ND, had pitchfork steak fondue tonight and then they had a ampha theater with a show. I am working my way to Denver sometime around the 25th, until then I am taking a walk about for the next 15 or so days. Till I return, ride safe and enjoy. God bless Bubber
  21. I am pretty sure you may have had a few (to many) adult beverages if Bill and McGyver sounded good ! We will miss you that is for sure. Enjoy the new bike and be safe out there. God bless. Bubber
  22. Tomephil please show up at PIP I have heard Bill sing!!!!!! Congrates on the new wing. now I know what your up to this Labor Day.
  23. Never been to Freebirds, although it is on my "to-do -list" for next year. Never been to Galena either. Did go to the gathering in Wyoming, Cody I think. All our friends north of the boarder are always welcome when and where ever we gather. Even Bongobob, even though technically he is on this side of the boarder. LOL Drive safe and God bless Steve aka Bubber
