Atoolnut replied to videoarizona's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
your are your own re splicing..factory says wire to high beam...but i say wire direct to relay and switch it on when you want..i wired mine to kuryakyn master cylinder 3 switch that runs hid, passing lamp, and daytime leds..just my $.02. -
Bike crash story heard at the barber shop last week !
Atoolnut replied to GeorgeS's topic in Watering Hole
i dont know about various states laws , but in ontario it is against the law to not have safety chains on any trailer being towed.. the DOT patrol cars will ticket/ impound unsafe trailers and vehicles..I tow a work trailer 3 days a week 24' enclsed and 22' flatdeck picking up motorcycles and i agree i do not want to injure anyone..if you dont want to ride safe ..stay home -

RSV front caliper upgrade?
Atoolnut replied to Mike G in SC's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
i upgraded mine with 2007 roadstar calipers...along with the 14mm master cylinder..it was an easy swap...remove all rsv calipers bolt on roadstar bleed...pads are different...i searched for r 1 r6 calipers but found roadstar was just the same ..four piston...found mine on fleabay..think around $200 ...included m/c....there was a member selling them . -
on the front around the triple tree ..slide strap under fairing behind wind deflector...rear tie at rear crash bars ...maybe through wheel as well..i work for dealer moving bikes ..this works for me..never lost one...do not put on handle bars as they are a weak link...use good ratchet straps not HF type...ones with loops at one end...i leave bike just resting on side stand as well not pulled down tight..and in gear..get a wheel chock ..makes it easier...my 2 cents

excellent rant...i belong to canadian motorcycle cruisers and our group will let that kind of nonsense be left behind..granted you sometimes have to ride above the limits but never putting safety last ..below limit not good jack rabbit riding not good..like been said ride your own ride ..tell them to stick it and see them at the next stop.......life too short to have stress riding......
