  1. I had one shipped to me several years ago and they just kind of formed the windshield with cardboard. Lot of tape.. Doubled and tripled in places. I think standard insurance is around $200. Any way it got to me in great shape. BOO
  2. I use to get 40-41 real regular until I read the post about setting the floats on the carbs. Mileage went up to 43-44 pretty much all the time. I get the same running 70-75 mph down the interstate but if I bump up to 80-85 it gets down in the low 30's. Speed is a mileage killer on these bikes. I'm a pretty good sized guy and I have an oversized wind shield that I run year around. Tire air pressure will knock the mileage down also. Whole bunch of little things can take away from your mileage. BOO
  3. Yep, same one we stayed at before. I'll be there sometime Wed afternoon. BOO
  4. Jane and I are staying in Black Mountain this year. See you there. BOO
  5. It's on the calendar but it looks like several of the people have not bothered to sign up there. BOO
  6. Jane and I should be in the area sometime Wednesday afternoon. Looking forward to the meet. BOO
  7. I run 3-4 front 30 solo and 35 double up rear 40 front and back in tires. always dunlap and E3 if I can get them. BOO
  8. I was stationed in Kenitra, Morocco at the time and the best I could do was check it out in the next addition of Look magazine. My daughter was born on August 14th and I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for her to arrive reading the magazine. Fastest news I could get at the time. BOO
  9. Things have changed a little so it looks like I might just be able to make it. Should know for sure by Friday. BOO
  10. I have one of these dilemmas this coming weekend. I have been going to southern Indiana the last weekend in June for about the last 10 years. Been rained on a couple of times but nothing serious. Looks like there is about a 50 percent chance of rain on my end and on the other end also so I'm trying to decide if I will drive or ride. I bet the riding beats out the driving. BOO
  11. Not for me, going to Anamosa, Ia with a friend and his daughter. Have fun, maybe another time. BOO
  12. I'm in for the right weekend. BOO
  13. Yes the frame is the ground plane and you will need a duplexer to feed the two radios into one antenna. BOO
  14. I'm in..... I'm in... BOO
  15. I think that weekend will work for me. BOO
  16. Me too. I'm close and never been there. Pick a date I'll try to be there. BOO
  17. BOO

    Well!

I fell a couple of months ago on the left shoulder also. Getting better but it's a slow process. I didn't want the shots so I suffer. Worst part is trying to sleep. Good luck BOO
  18. Absurdly agree. We wintered in Islamorada Florida for several years and the Fish Company is a must stop. Like it has been said there is a lot to see in the Keys. You can also fly out to the fort, much faster. BOO
  19. I too only have one Kidney but I'm afraid I'm not much help as mine was removed on Jan 29, 2014 but I had no pain and was only in the hospital 2 days. I'm doing great and ready to ride but I fell on some ice on Saturday night. No problem with the operation but my shoulder sure hurts. Never ends. Ha. Good Luck, BOO
  20. That would definitely be a long weekend from Asheville. And even longer from the Chicago area. BOO
