  1. OK let's buy some trailer raffle tickets. Help your Rally committee out with finances and purchase a ticket or three. it's for a good cause and I have seen you all open your wallet many times before to help out so what do you say. Just 1 ticket is all you need to win and it you win and don't want it I am sure someone on the board will be more than happy to take it off your hands. :thumbsup2::whistling:

  2. The aeromike has one hole in the back (pressure relief) and 12 in the front. I've tried facing it up, down, front, back. The only place I haven't tried is the back of the helmet (boom not long enough).

    a

Try covering it with another boot then wrap electrical tape around the mike till you have a whole the size of a dime. That is what I did with my wife's and it helped

  3. Hey, wondering if anyone has heard about the 'hidden antenna' for our radios and CB's? i guess you mount it inside the faring. I saw the product on line and wonder if it works as advertised....anyone, anyone?

    heres the website: http://www.tunetrapper.com

I didn't see anywhere that it said it worked for CB Radios.

  4. Thanks for all the posts about the clutch whine. Sounds like enough of you are pretty annoyed with it. Is it a constant whine or just when the gears go through the 3K rpm range? Growing in my doubts about getting a bike that annoys a good number of its owners. Love the V-Four though.

If you decide to not buy the venture based on the whine you will be making a mistake even though some hate the whine and it bothers them read what most had to say about buying another one when the time comes. To me that is the best testament about the bike.

  5. Okay then...henceforth and forever more you shall be called...Simply Dragonslayer.

I like the change, Simply Dragonslayer. It sounds better than AtlantaDragonslayer.

And there is one less syllable.

    Simply Dragonslayer.....Cool !:whistling:

    Did you call Lewis "Simple":stickpoke::rotf:

  6. Think 21st century technology...

All entrants listed on excel spread sheet and numbered.

Random number generator contained in an engineering app I have on my I phone to pick winning #. App I have can be set to pick random # between two input variables. Say #1 to #245. It will be on a separate device from excel sheet so there can be no linkage when # is selected.

That way we don't have cost or hassle of buying tickets.

    Gary

OK Gary I want number to be 127 then set the app to pick an number between 126 and 128 Thank You.:whistling::thumbsup2::stirthepot:

  7. Rick,

If you could post which rides are going on what day's, it would help us to plan our day's at the rally.

    :thumbsup2:

The rides we put together will go everyday this way everyone can go on each ride. We will have sign up Sunday night and we would like to keep each ride to 25 bikes or so. On Sunday night if we get say 47 bikes sign up to go to the Museum/JP cyles ride we would then tell the first 25 your ride leaves on Monday at 9:00 am and then the next 22 that there ride would leave on Tuesday at 9:00 am. Then the 22 that didn't get to go Monday would sign up for a different ride on Monday. Does this make sense?

  8. Additional Info

We are here to help you have a great time. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. We will also set up rides/plans for the River Cruise and Balloon rides if there is enough interest.

  10. I love my RSV, but if I was in the market for a new bike, it would either be a Kawasaki or a Harley. I would not even consider Yamaha and their current line-up. Victory....looks like a$$, so does the gold wing. Not my style preference.

From what people tell me After riding the Venture you would be very unhappy with the Kawasaki.

  13. Oregon does have a helmet law...for all riders.

Idaho does not have a helmet law, for any rider.

The entire West Coast states require helmets to be worn by all riders. Going inland a couple states, and you will find that you can go all the way from Mexico to Canada without wearing a helmet...until you reach the Canadian border...and then you better put that helmet on.

I wear a helmet 99.314159 % of the time, because that is also where my headset is for listening to music or the CB. But...I also believe that the wearing of a helmet should be the individual riders' choice, if they are over the age of 21.

Personally, I would wear one, but I do not want to force anyone else to wear one, after the age of 21.

(really, I think the age of choice should be 50, but...I will never gets that past the powers-that-be)

    :backinmyday:

    Just curious

    Why 21 and not 18
