2000 MM With Diamond Cuts........Thanks Mike:thumbsup2:
-
Hey yammer, You have another 2nd gen invading your stable of first gens in West Virgina
-
I run E3's for tires and Valvoline for the oil. I put in a set of quality pioneer speakers and sprayed them with waterproofing spray.

Man I went through that with mine for a long time and not sure what I did to fix it but I finally got it right. Two things that really helped were. The air box had come off of the top of one of the carbs and I assume was letting in to much air so I put it back on but the biggest thing I had done was had the card Color Tuned. This is were they set the air/fuel ratio on each carb and do it by the color of the combustion in each cylinder. I replaced the fuel filter also which made a difference. When I replaced the fuel filter I rerouted it and put an in-line under the seat so I could replace it more often and without all the hassle of replacing the OEM. Good Luck with it.
ps, I also forgot to mention that mine also started to run different just a few days before the ignition switch failed.

Amazon bought them to eliminate the competition

My friend who has a 2001 2nd Gen asked me to ask you guys a question:
He just purchased LA Choppers slip-ons, not the full exhaust. Does he need to do anything to the carbs or timing or anything??
Inquiring minds want to know...
Tell your friend he needs to spend the 12 bucks and join the crazyness:thumbsup2:

I love her, Her work is so special and it looks so good on my bike that I just keep ordering custom things for my bike and now the trailer. She is a treat to talk to that when we talk it may last an hour.

That is purdy. There was a gentleman at Scooter Bob and Karen's Maintenance Day in 2011 that had the red and black one all lowered and solo seat and it was absolutely gorgeous. For the life of me I can not remember his name but it might be Jeff since there were like 6 Jeff's there.

Great to hear this Patricia, good things come to good people. Tell Mike good luck from Slim and me.

Have a wonderful time... and give Jenn a big hug from us
You might want to put a microfibre cloth under that strap on your seat, would hate to see rub marks in it
Rub marks in my butt or my seat:whistling:

Happy anniversary my friend.

Its warm enough here you could have just ridden down there instead of having to resort to
Have fun, wish I could go.[/quote
it is warm enough today but the morning we are leaving it is suppose to be like 15 degrees plus you do not know what you will get into on the ride home. My daughter lives in Pensacola so we are leaving the car and trailer at her place and riding from there.
-
Got the bike loaded on the trailer and in a few days the wife and I will be headed to florida for 12 days of riding. ready for some warmer weather and riding.
-
Gotta find it first!
The mascot from 2010 was auctioned off at vogel and the proceeds went to St Jude if I remember correctly
-
Wasn't to long ago that all your post were on "how to get your bike running so you could ride it"......ooops...my bad....

Yes I have and am sure I will again. Butt and leg method and push it up. Remember to tell whoever runs over to help you not to grab anything plastic when they try and help
