  1. Broke my master cylinder clutch... no no not where it would be easy to fix by getting a new lever and installing... The lever broke off WITH part of the master cylinder clutch... aka master cylinder 2 ala BikeBandit and WHEEW is it Expensive... umm so anyone have a spare laying around that doesnt cost almost 300 or know if a welder can fix that piece? Im looked at pinwheel and ebay as well... ALSO if anyone knows what years will fit or if a road star master clutch would work? Thanks all in advance...
  2. We have that problem with the Suzuki Savage / LS650 / S40s as well... what was found out is if you have a dirty sight glass... run rotella 15w/40 white bottle... now im sure the 5w/40 synth will also help but little more expensive for this and fill / change every 500 / 600 miles till you see that gunk gone... usually about 3 changes will do... not sure on these beasts but hey thought i would share...
  3. Ok thanks! Ill Look into that, one of the things might be a dirty spot on the rotor or warped as i know when you apply the front brakes light nothing wrong then as apply more pressure you begin to feel this "spot" where breaking is smooth then you get like a "grab" and thats where whatever is wrong is then its smooth again.. kinda like a jalopy feeling So a moto shop can "turn" these rotors?
  4. Ok little help here, when i apply the front brakes the front starts shaking.. I was wondering if the front forks has air pressures i should look for? I didnt see them in the service manual. I cleaned the rotors, the pads have a lot of meat on them and bleeded the lines just to make sure... Any advice is appreciated... so thankn you in advance...
  5. Well it was a 98 we were thinkin on buying but wound up with the 96 .. here is the seat we sat on... She loved it.. and i think there was a wider back pad on the 98 as well http://image.motorcyclecruiser.com/f/10768693/baggers_lg+1999_yamaha_royal_star_tour_classic+seat_view.jpeg.jpg
  6. thanks guys, Ill look into that... 600 + In a days ride holyeeee monkey bum batman! Ill DEFINITELY need a different seat... this OEM one givin me a case of the rear hurts after 100 miles... wow... ok so who has a good idea for 2 up seating and me at 6'+ 270+ lbs ??? thank you in advance.. .Oh and when me and the misses set on a 98 RSTD the seating was fabulous! now to find out if them will work on the 96 Royal... if i could just keep off of it i could start working minor issues out of it...like iridium / k&n / front pads...
  7. hi all! So now i have a 96 Royal Star with 8900 miles. Quick question for you, when i lean right... alll is fine. When i go left... I AM SCRAPING SOMETHING on the pavement... Its going to be dangerous if im bonking off the pavement making a left turn... Now im thinking after putting 150 miles on it... could it be the kick stand? Thanks guys/gals... This bike is a phenom! Im tired... 260 + mile round trip to get it... going to bed..
