It is with great sadness that I report that Gil Fisher has passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was a good friend to me and many others in our VentureRider family. Rest in Pease and Godspeed my friend. -

Sure brings back the looks of the old Triumphs and BSAs. They should have put a kick start on it for nostalgia.

I"ve tagged @dfitzbiz on this post so he will see it. Not sure that his problem is the solution though. You say there are no leaks but there would be if it was the same issues as his corrects. That being said, you mention that you just bought the bike. It is possible that all the oil had already leaked out and the bike had been cleaned at some point.

I think that something like that is the answer. Unfortunately, the Amazon reviews aren't good on any of those, Bearings falling apart, mild steel jack screw, etc. I think I'm going to look at building one with a similar top rail but that I can use with a hydraulic floor jack. I'll see what I can come up with.
