I can get the jack under the frame. But the lift adapters can't be installed due to the floorboard braces. No place to lift it. I don't have the skid plate.

Yes, but when lifting the front, where do you lift from? Mine will go under the floorboards but then what? Without the lift adapter for the Venture, where do you lift it from? The only way I can see to use the standard lift adapter is to remove the floorboards and I don't want to do that every time.

Glad you like it. I don't use the reverse all that often but it is really nice when I need it. I have the floorboards so probably use it more than somebody without them. Actually do use it to back out of my garage. You are correct, it is NOT slow.

Those of you with the Hannigan trike with floorboards, how do you lift it? When I changed my front wheel a couple of days ago, I had a hard time figuring out a good way to lift it. I did get it done but I did NOT find a good way. The normal lift adapter will not work due to the floorboards mounting brackets. I ended up lifting it with a floor jack under one of the stock floorboard brackets. Or course all it lifted was the front which was all I needed this time. Lifting it from just one side worked OK but was a bit scary. I got the job done but would prefer a better solution. Maybe the only answer is to remove the floor boards but there has to be an easier way.

The problem with the ‘83 - mid ‘85 is that they eventually lose second gear. That one is right about the mileage that it usually happens. Great bikes but the second gear issue involves removing the engine and splitting the case. It can be too expensive if you don’t want to do it yourself. Personally, I would pass. -

Yes, I think that even the regular Strat wheel looks great. These chrome ones are harder to find.

I have been using one for years,. I've had two Ag Fabs. They worked ok but didn't last long. Ive had a DR Power for a few years now. It works well but don't know yet how long it will last. I suspect that the Trac Vac is the better unit but I bought mine "used" but never used from an estate sale. Got a great deal on it and it's been fine so far. That being said, I hate using these things. They do a good job but it is a pain in the butt. I have a large yard and have to dump it several times any time I use it. I also have a lot of trees and it makes maneuvering it around a pain. It does get the leaves though. Mine leave almost none left on the ground.

You got it. I actually did add the front fender rail a while back but installed the wheel and new tire yesterday. Love the look but don’t know yet about the ride and handling. I’m optimistic though. Chromed Stratoliner wheel. Decided to leave the pie plates off. Can always put them back on later if I decide to.

I have the KuryAkyn offsets on mine and they work fine. I have long legs and love the extended room that they offer. They were on it when I bought it and I haven't adjusted them to my preference yet but they work pretty good the way that they are. I will rotate them forward a bit more.

Well, I ended up finding a fair deal on a chromed Stratoliner wheel and bought it. I then started looking at tires. I was leaning towards the Avon Cobra Chrome trike tire but I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm reading that Avon has discontinued it but that the Avon Cobra Chrome is the same tire and just not stamped "Trike". I ended up buying a Avon Cobra Chrome. They offer it in radial and in bias ply. I went with the bias ply because it is rated at more than a hundred pounds more than the radial. Hope to get it mounted and installed over the next few days and will post pictures when it's all done.
