I personally think that Taurus makes a good gun. If it is priced right, I would have no problem with it.

Maybe I can figure out how to do that when people become supporting members. I have it set to only be accessible to supporting members due to the personal information included.

I was just making sure it was going to work OK. Now that it appears that people like it, I will be adding a link to the menu bar. Will try to get around to it tonight.

Over the next few hours or maybe tonight, I will be upgrading the chat room software in an effort to correct the problem of it not working on the Iphone and Ipad through .html chat. Some of the changes have to be made on the host end and I'm not sure what time they will do that. Just a warning that the chat room could be down for a few minutes at some point.

Well thanks...or something...go out to Flyinfool and to Deepforkriver. Deepforkriver brought up the idea to begin with and then Flyinfool suggested the Google maps. It's not perfect though. I've not found a good way to get it to work with Iphones or Ipads because they don't support Java. I found one possible work around but it involved buing the App called Firefox Virtual Browser. I bought it and tried it but am not very impressed. It does work but is VERY slow and cumbersome to use.

There is a problem with the images so I did away with the field to input them. If people put in certain characters and etc., it breaks the map.

I tried it on my Iphone and you are right. I hadn't thought about it but I think the problem is that IOS doesn't support Java. So now I have to try and figure out if it can be made to work on Iphone and Ipad.

Nope, that would have nothing to do with it. Have you entered your information and then hit the Update button? Separate thing. Does anybody really use the Sighting map though? Do we want to keep it? Howard, you have to add your own information by clicking the "your entry" link at the top of the map.

Was trying this out before going to the trouble of adding a link. Will add one to the top or side menu bar probably tonight.

Yes, and that is probably my fault because I really didn't think that far ahead when I started it. I have my city and telephone number listed. That should be the minimum and then if you want to see what services a member offers, you can view their profile. Hopefully people will update their info now that I THINK I have it working correctly.

Unfortunately, that's just the way it works. It centers the map on the user that you select but shows all the pins in that area.

I don't get that. Would you try again? There is no reason why you should not be authorized.

OK folks...I think I have it fixed now. You BROKE it. Actually, it is a bit confusing in regards to the Image URL. Apparently you can't do it the way you folks are doing it. Please leave that blank for now until I learn more about it. I removed all the information that you had put in the Image URL field and now the pins are showing up again.

For some reason, everybody is apparently no seeing the same thing. When I go there, I see a map with all the pins on it. I can click on a pin and open up the balloon and can then click the members name to be taken directly to their profile. If you click on my balloon click my name to see my profile, there you will see all my VR Assistance stuff listed.

It's there Annie. You just have to move the map around.

I just made it a sticky but once I determine that it's going to work out OK, and that people like it, I'll add a link to it from the left menu or the upper menu bar.

Eileen is used to it. OK....I just took a look and I think I figured it out. A couple of things. I had it set so that I had to approve the entries. I now have it set to auto-improve. I also had to set a cron job so it may be that your information won't show immediately. I have the cron job set to run every 10 minutes. Those of you who have already entered your information are showing now.

OK...apparently there is soimething not right. I'll try to work on it again tonight.

You have to add your own information. At the top there should be a link that says "Your Entry".

Basically "registered" are trial members. I've removed that one. If we use this the way I am envisioning it, it will primarily be our "assistance list". Only supporting members will have access to that information. Telephone numbers and etc.
