  1. hmmm....first job. I guess I was in the 4th grade so what...9 years old? There was a miniature golf course within walking distance of our house. Back then, they used sawdust instead of the artificial grass that is used now. So my job was to smooth the sawdust a few times throughout the evening. I had a stick with a rope tied to each end and a sheet of carpet nailed to it. I would drag that carpet to smooth the sawdust. I don't remember how much I was paid but I think it was about 25 cents per hour and I got free golf passes for my family.
  2. Apparently it expired the end of July. I pay it annually. Again, they failed to send me any type of reminder or invoice so like every year, I just sent them a message telling them that they screwed up again and to get it turned back on and send me an invoice and I'll gladly pay it. They have a good chat solution but terrible to deal with. I will get it turned on ASAP unless they try to jack the price way up as they usually try to do.
  3. Folks, I simply will not pursue this. I always understood that there was a patent on the product. If there is not, I would need proof of that. If somebody else wants to do all the footwork, get the permissions, etc., I would be willing to submit it to my people about manufacturing them. If it were to work out, I would be willing to sell them to our members, the Venturerider members, or whomever at the same price but I am not interested in fighting any battles to get it done.
  4. You wouldn't need an aluminum mold for the number of them that would likely be sold. We use some aluminum molds for popular items that we know will sell for many years but the custom stuff is made of MDF wood. They can be used MANY times if necessary and even repair if needed with a wood putty. If it weren't for the patent issue, I would be willing to have you send that one to me and I would get a quote on having them done. Even doing ONE wouldn't be an outrageous price. I won't get into the patent problem though.
  5. I think that we could make them with no problem at all. BUT...I think that somebody bought the patent and I have no desire to fight a legal battle.
  6. Condor, are you SURE that you are remembering it correctly? Vacuum molds are very cheap. Now injection molds molds are very expensive. My company does both and we do custom vacuum molding every single day and the molds are so cheap that they are destroyed immediately after using them.
  7. I ALMOST posted your second one in my first post. Not only do some of them leave the baskets in the MIDDLE...put some (MANY) actually have them at an angle so that they literally go almost from one side to the other. Sometimes I just want to crash right through them. I agree with all of yours but the last one hit home also. What is even worse is those in the 10 or 20 items or less lane that apparently think that 20 bottles of soft drink are actually only one item. Or multiples of this or that. And yes, I've had that exit thing happen to me also. It actually happened to my wife a few weeks ago and almost caused a serious accident.
  8. As I was on the road for yet another week of meetings, one of my pet peeves attacked me many times. It got me to thinking about pet peeves and how it might be interesting to hear what yours are. I'll start with a couple. This one is a bit humorous and my wife says that I am being silly. She is very probably right but it's just somewhat of a fun one for me. What is it? I KNOW you are DYING to know.... HOT DOGS and BUNS! Why is it that most hot dogs come in packages of 10 and yet most hot dog buns come in packages of 8? What is up with that? If you are bothered about the number of hot dogs and buns not coming out even....that means you would need to make 40 hot dogs? 4 packages of hot dogs and 5 packages of buns to make it come out right. It's a conspiracy...a CONSPIRACY I tell you. Another one, and the one that I faced several times today, big trucks trying to pass each other. Today I was driving on I71 between Cincinnati and Kentucky. It was mostly a 4 lane highway once I got past the 71 and 75 split. So two lanes going my direction and a lot of hills. Much of that time was spent behind a big truck who felt that he HAD to pass the big truck in front of him on the long hill. He pulls out to pass in spite of the fact that he is only able to muster a speed of about 1 MPH more than the truck that he is passing. So 10 minutes later he FINALLY manages to pass the other truck and get back into the right hand lane. If you don't have the power to get around the truck in front of you, STAY BEHIND it. Don't be an inconsiderate ass and back up everybody else. I have others but will let that get it started. But fear not...I do have others...MANY others.
  9. According to your profile, you ride an '83 model. That would make it a first gen so I moved your thread to the first gen tech talk forum.
  10. That being said. I just tried logging out and it worked as it should. I got a popup asking if I was sure I wanted to log and and when I clicked yes, it logged me out. If some of you aren't able to do that, I guess we need to know what system, browser, etc. you are using. It's really not important though.
  11. It really doesn't matter either way. I am curious though. How do you know it's not logging you out? If you leave your computer on and come back it it shows you still logged in, that is probably because you haven't refreshed the page. Once you refresh it, it will automatically log you back in again.
  12. Why? There is no reason to log out. It will log you out automatically after about, 30 minutes or so
  13. Upper right corner of page. "Settings". Then scroll down to "paid subscriptions" in the left menu.
  14. He may be right but to me, that is not a Venture. If it's a air cooled V Twin, I already have one of those. If it were a water cooled 1700 V4, I would have to take a look.
  15. I think the Motor Trike is a nice kit but unless they have different models, I don't think it is an independent suspension. Carbon One could probably tell you more. I think that his first RSV Trike was a Motor Trike. Pretty sure it is a straight axle.
  16. I understand it and as said, it is all about the money. The title has a place on the back for the sellers name and the buyers name and was then notarized. But it was never taken to the DMV and changed over. So due to the buyers info being filled out on the back, they know it it had already changed hands and that the transfer was never done so the taxes were never paid. No way are they going to skip the taxes that they need to collect from the owner than never paid them.
  17. I like the WV location. I also like my location. It will be put up for a vote though. I am not ruling any of them out.
  18. I checked the logs and it shows that he got the pm.
  19. It has nothing to do with the aftermarket ignoring us. There are plenty of speakers out there in the correct size. The problem is, the correct size is just not a large enough speaker and a larger one won't fit.
  20. Good luck with it. Nice bike. Still wouldn't trade my Road Glide for it though.
  21. They should. Your last post here showed up under mine. As for the bike, why don't you put it in the classifieds. That's what they are far. I paid good money for that software, people should use it.
  22. Or...if you are talking about your OWN posts/responses, they will NOT show up under new because they aren't new to you.
  23. Depends upon which thread you are talking about. Some do not show up under new posts because people didn't want them to. Ebay ads, links to classifieds, etc.
  24. I hate mail in rebates but will give it a try. Both of the new Waverunners are due for their first oil change. Of COURSE it will be Mobil 1.
