  1. I posted a couple of before pics already. I'll post some good pics when I'm done though.
  2. Check in the classifieds under Member Vendors and then Skydoc. He should have what you need.
  3. His membership expired in April. Not sure but I think it will remain that way until he logs in again and then it will update and let him know it's expired. Of course he would have gotten an email also but sometimes they go to spam or trash folders.
  4. WIN??? Heck....it's not about winning...it's about sharing the JOY.
  5. Dang Puc...I thought I gave you a domed VentureRider decal. Remind me at Maintenance Day to give you one.
  6. Well, I paid $39.95 plus $7.50 shipping for a total of $47.45. He sent me some coupons though so anybody else who wants to order one can go to the link about and use coupon code FRIEND5BUCKS for $5.00 off.
  7. LOL...the sad part is...Dan has the '99 that I sold to him. I DID all that stuff to his. So here I am trying to catch up with what I had already done. The ONLY thing he has added is the bandaids.
  8. LOL....it was actually just lucky draw. As I was an electrician for about 20 years though, I thought it was pretty cool.
  9. The license plate frame came today. I'm very pleased with it. They did a good job I think. It is polished stainless steel and has an acrylic backer. The letters are cut out so that the acrylic shows through them. The acrylic backer plate is available in several colors.
  10. Well I got Carbon_Ones crash bar supports installed this morning and the visor on the Harley tail light. That may be about it for today. Much yard work to be done but it rained all night so mowing is out. Going to try to get some weed eating done though.
  11. Excellent report Nanci. Thank you for taking the time. I've heard great things about the Russell seats. I know a lot of Iron Butt riders swear by them. I'm anxious to put some miles on mine and see if I like it. I was expecting a call today from them to let me know that the Corbin backrest I sent to them to be recovered was ready to ship but the call never came. He did tell me though that it could be Monday.
  12. OOPS....forgot about that. It already has the Wagner grill. Will add it to the list.
  13. I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, there are actually two fuses. One behind the left side cover and the other in the right lower? If they are both good, then the next thing I would do is split the fairing and clean the large black connectors.
  14. If it works as well as you describe, I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in seeing how you did it. Great job.
  15. Beautiful. Love the paint and the front wheel. Would sure like some details about what it took to add that wheel.
  16. Oh yea...all the time. I have a few growing around my pond and have to pull them up from time to time to keep them from taking over. More than once I've eaten some of them while doing that. Very good. I would call it more like a VERY mild radish taste.
  17. Sounds like two great deals found. Wish I could find a deal like that on a houseboat at Lake Cumberland. We are looking but it will take a heck of a deal before we can do it.
  18. Actually, the roots are very tasty. If you haven't tried them, you should. I'm not kidding this time.
  19. Well I know that 2" is enough for the Flanders because that's what I used on the '99. I don't need the risers. I just want to know for sure that the cables and clutch line on the newer RSTDs are indeed 2" longer than the RSV.
  20. Short of cutting down the passenger seat, I can't think of a way. You would have to make it pretty thin to make any real difference.
  21. Well, I sure know how to build a center stand. I think I built about 150 of them or so. Hadn't even thought about that but may get around to it.
  22. I would like to put the Flanders bars on the new RSV like I had on the '99. My new RSV already has SS brake lines front and back. I think they are stock length though. At least all I will need is the single upper hose for the front brakes though. I will need the SS clutch line and the throttle cables. I've read here that the RSTD throttle cables and clutch/brake lines are two inches longer than the RSV. If that is true, I've found stock SS RSTD cables and hoses a lot cheaper than having 2" longer RSV stuff custom made. So, can anybody verify that the RSTD cables and lines are indeed 2" longer than the RSV. Also, I assume that we are talking about the new model RSTD and not the older Royal Stars?
  23. I just ordered a custom license plate frame for the new bike. I've never used these people before but they are very nice and I am pretty hopeful that it will turn out nice. I ordered what they call they call the bump down style which has the wider border on the bottom as I didn't want any text at the top of the frame. Because my bike is black, I got a black acrylic backer plate for it. The laser cutout will simply say VentureRiders. The frame is mirror polished stainless steel. I'll post pictures after I receive it but if it turns out as nice as I hope, I have talked to him about offering us some type of group discount. Here is the website. Some of you Kentucky members may be familiar with them. They are in Barboursville, KY http://customplatesandhitch.com/custom-auto-plates/frames/motorcycle-frames-custom-laser-cut
  24. Well, the Waverunners are just over 800 lbs. each and on a double trailer. I figure total weight is around 1800 lbs. Don't think I will be trying that. Even if I got them to the lake, then I have to back them down the boat ramp? I don't think so my friend.
