  1. OK folks. The site has been moved to a new server. Hopefully there will be no issues.
  2. Just a quick heads up. The site will be going down for a little while sometime today. I am estimating 30 minutes to an hour. Due to new security requirements and etc., I have learned that the server software has to be upgraded. The site is being migrated to a new server with a newer version of CPanel and some other changes. Hopefully it will be a seamless transition but there will be a bit of downtime.
  3. Wish you could find it around here. There is a website that shows where you can get ethanol free gas in most areas. All of the listed ones here were marinas and the only way to get it would be to tote cans a pretty good distance to the boat docks.
  4. Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope you are doing well.
  5. By the way, just for the record, I agree 100% with that report. I NEVER buy premium fuel for any of my cars or the bike. I do believe it is a complete waste of money.
  6. 10spd is correct. You get ethanol here regardless of the grade. The only way to avoid it is to go to a marina or someplace else that had non-ethanol gas and most of those don't have pumps that you can access unless you are in a boat.
  7. Just wanted to extend the heartfelt gratitude that Eileen and I have for each and every one of you. You all go out of your way to thank us for putting on Maintenance Day but I can promise you that we get at least as much out of it as all of you do. We love doing this and really look forward to it each year. You have all become our second family...almost our first family maybe...and it means more than any of you can understand that you take the time off and make the trip to Oberlin, OH to celebrate this with us. We used to be a bit surprised and amazed at how neat and clean you leave our place but now we just know it will be great and our amazement has pretty much just turned into sincere appreciation. Thank you so much for coming and we are already looking forward to next year. We hope to see you all again and also many new faces that we have yet to meet. Sincerely, Don and Eileen
  8. Sounds exciting. I will want to see pictures when you get it of course. WOW...AUGUST...I hope that you are more patient than I am.
  9. Very nice. You should be so proud. It's a dreadful disease.
  10. OK...I'll pass because I need it all. Thanks.
  11. Look good. Are they easily adjustable, I mean no tools?
  12. I hooked it into the power that powers the receptacle in the fairing. It is only on when the key is on.
  13. Got this done today. It was supposed to come on Friday but showed up today. Was waiting for it before I split the fairing to hook up the GPS so once I got here, I go it all done. Works very well. Great product. The only problem is that the allen head bolt for the light bar stripped before it got tight and I spent about an hour getting it out to install new bolts. No more allen head bolts for the light bar. I had the same problem on the '99 and thought about it before putting it back on but decided it would be OK. Huge mistake. But....it's all done now and I'm very happy with the results.
  14. Well yea....but it's all natural.
  15. Not sure what you mean. Send me a picture.
  16. LOL....looks like a Yammer Dan Motel 6.
  17. If I wanted another bike to park in the garage though, that SCR950 is pretty cool.
  18. Yes it was. Plus he said that some idiot who had the carb apart to clean it put the float in upside down. After he replaced the bad solenoid, it still wasn't getting any gas. Go figure. Have NO idea who it would have been.
  19. The Vermillion address is the location of Quaker Steak and Lube for the Friday night dinner.
  20. Always....and buckshot too.
  21. Sorry to hear that Joe. Looking forward to seeing you again though.
  22. 16898 Hawley Road, Oberlin, 44074
  23. LOL....not quite enough pond for the Waverunners. as for the Pong Monsters....I didn't see them last year but I'm not counting them out.
  24. Those of you who have been here before know most of this but just a reminder. We have rented a porta john again this year. It is requested that the men use it and let our wonderful ladies use the restrooms in the house. I have place a gas grill beside the Gazebo. There will be a full tank of gas. Those of you who are camping are more than welcome to use it. I am draining and refilling the hot tub today. It will be completely clean and sanitary so feel free to bring your swimsuits if you would like to. Swimsuits are required for all men. Women can be approved to go nude with my prior approval. Campers are welcome to use the shower in the house but please bring your own towels. There will be a lunch on Saturday. We have ordered food as usual and it will be delivered around noon. We changed it up a bit this year and ordered fried chicken with all the fixings. There is no set cost for lunch but will be a donation can out as usual to help cover the costs. Lunch, drinks, coffee and etc. usually run us between $1,000.00 and $1,200.00 so donations are appreciated. There will be a 50/50 drawing and also a drawing for a few door prizes as usual. I didn't go out and buy anything this year though I still may...we'll see. At this time, we have two BaggerShield windshields, a Hopnel tank bib, leather grip covers with fringe, some nice wood items custom made by Hummingbird. 50/50 tickets are usually $1.00 each if I remember correctly and door prizes ... I don't remember...we'll figure it out. I have most tools that will be needed for any maintenance that you want to do on your bikes. If you plan to do oil changes and etc., you will need to bring your oil and filters or there is an Advanced Auto and a Walmart about 2 1/2 miles away. Soft drinks, water, coffee are provided. If you want to enjoy a beer or other alcoholic beverage when we are sitting around in the evenings you are more than welcome to do so but they are not provided. Smoking is not allowed in the house but you are more than welcome to smoke outside. There will be ashtrays placed all around. I'm sure that I'm missing something so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
  25. Are you SURE you need a new petcock? Very unusual to find one that leaks. It is NOT unusual to find one that is a little loose and leaking at the pipe where the fuel line slips on. You can simply tap it with a hammer to stop the leak. Many have done this and it hasn't happened again. Some just weren't pressed in tight enough. Just remove the fuel hose, place a small piece of wood or plastic on the end of the brass tube and tap it with a hammer.
