  1. I agree with Jeff. You aren't going to run the battery down for the short amount of time that you use a horn.
  2. The ball mount that I got with my Bushtec trailer has too much drop for the RSV. The guy used it on a Boss Hoss trike and had it made for that bike. So, unless I can talk @Yammer Dan out of the one that was on the bike I sold him, I will need to find a new one. Can somebody tell me what the correct drop is for the ball mounts for the RSV? I'm tagging @Carbon_One on this also because he probably knows since he made the hitch. Thanks
  3. Pretty cool but I think that the saddlebags on a touring bike would block the lights and make them pretty much useless.
  4. Finally got around to installing the @Carbon_One leveling links on the '05 this morning. Had them on the '99 and knew that I would eventually put them on the '05 and decided to go ahead and get it done. Easy enough job. Love that the bike is sitting level as it should.
  5. Just wanted you all to know that I am aware of the occasional problem we are having with the server returning an error when you try to access the site. It happened to me again early this morning. I am working on it with our hosting company. They just made some major changes to the configuration so let me know if it happens again.
  6. Lowering the bike is fairly easy. Baron's makes a lowering kit that will lower the rear. You can lower the from accordingly by simply loosening the clamps on the triple key and sliding the fork tubes up. The Baron's kit for the rear includes a caliper relocation bracket. As for the seat, I don't know anything about Mean City Cycles. We have a member here by the name of Rick Butler that does seat modifications also. If you contact him and explain your problem, he can tell you how he would remedy it.
  7. Thanks Peggy.....very nice. Proves that at least SOME maintenance gets done at Maintenance Day.
  8. Never like to hear about this happening to anybody, especially one of our family members. So glad you are here to tell the story.
  9. It will likely be a gradual thing. Don't think it will leave you stranded anywhere.
  10. I am aware that there are still some random glitches with the new server and with the hosting company, am working through them. Also, I have discovered that there is a problem trying to upload images. That is one thing being worked on.
  11. No, it is not normal and indicates a weak clutch spring.
  12. Something is not right on your RSV. No way should a stock RSTC be faster. You need to be figuring out what is wrong with it and not why the RSTC is fast. I would suspect that you are running on three cylinders or something.
  13. Not sure about that but Barnett does make the coil type for the RSV.
  14. I would be looking for an air leak at a fitting or something. That is not how they usually fail. It is usually the oil that starts leaking and even then they do not lose air. What you are describing is very unusual and if fact, I've personally never heard of it happening.
  15. This actually sounds really promising. Will be interesting to see what comes of it. http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2016/06/15/man-builds-100mpg-engine-using-200-year-old-technology/?intcmp=hpff
  16. Well.... you DO talk a lot.

    Love that picture.
  18. Everybody's is probably a bit higher than is now shown. When you reset it all, it pulls the new counts from the current database. Any threads that are pruned are lost in the current count. So posts in areas that get pruned from time to time are not included in the count if it is reset. This may be the first time I've ever reset the count because I Really just don't pay any attention to it.
  19. OK...I've reset all the post counts. Will still probably hide them completely later.
  20. Post counts have gotten screwed up somehow. I used to have them hidden and will probably do so again. Just hadn't thought about it.
  21. OK folks. The site has been moved to a new server. Hopefully there will be no issues.
  22. Just a quick heads up. The site will be going down for a little while sometime today. I am estimating 30 minutes to an hour. Due to new security requirements and etc., I have learned that the server software has to be upgraded. The site is being migrated to a new server with a newer version of CPanel and some other changes. Hopefully it will be a seamless transition but there will be a bit of downtime.
  23. Wish you could find it around here. There is a website that shows where you can get ethanol free gas in most areas. All of the listed ones here were marinas and the only way to get it would be to tote cans a pretty good distance to the boat docks.
