Don't forget the MKII rotors. The OEM '83's are fatter than the MKII's. While in there you might as well toss in a set of Progressive springs. I did the conversion on my '83 and never delinked. Afterwards I didn't feel it was necessary,, Edit #2 ... The MKII forks will have electric anti-dives. I just stuffed the wire leads up under the fairing. With the Progressives they weren't needed.

130mm Front brake mounts
Condor replied to PGunn's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Any plans on producing a 'kit' for sale?? I bet there are a bunch of Venture trike owners and two wheelers pulling larger camper trailers who would be interested..... And... did you use a CNC to cut the part out?? Another thought.... did you check to see if the lines off an R1 would work?? Maybe? -
Hey Puc, you can come too... But only if Tippy comes along as decoration... :-)

You're always welcome for coffee George.... maybe even a lunch break on me.. :-)

You remove a 40' fruitless mulberry, and pore a 66'x14' driveway in the back yard. With a little help... :-) It's been running in the mid 70's out here on the left coast, and figured it was about time to make a plan come to life. Last summer we poured a 24'x36' slab, and now there's a driveway leading to it. Now it's supposed to rain for the next week or so, which saves me the job of keeping the new stuff hosed down and help with the curing.... Can't wait to put another trailer on it.... :-) Pics to follow... soon..

That would be neat... Any chance of seeing one?? -
SUSANVILLE CA. Great little town, and a lot of places to ride. Sits right on the east side of the Sierras...

Haven't heard a thing lately George. This thread's been hi-jacked.... no relation... by a bunch of guys bragging about retirement and ice cream. Besides I think most of the folks in your neighborhood are heading north above the 48. If anything does happen it will probably be a spur of the moment decision. That said Susanville II might be a place?

Pray those fingers will get back to wiggling like they should my friend.....

Need touch up black engine paint
Condor replied to Lug Nut's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You might give Krylon semi-flat black a try. Should match the finish of the engine very well.... -
I look for information on a bag
Condor replied to KISA's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Looks very similar to other bags on the market. The only thing missing is the logo. TANK.BAG -

I've been using http://www.EarthLink.net since the early '90's. They've always done a great job.

A little more food for thought when it comes to braking on a trike or outrigger. The front brakes do almost 70-80% of the braking on any bike. So improving the rear braking power probably has minimal effect on the overall stopping power. Of course it helps with two wheels at traction over just one, but I wonder what the percentage increase would be in the big picture??

Here's in California they treat the Voyager as a trailer. It's just attached differently. Geico does also. Just let them know you have it on the bike, and no increase in premium. So you still need the MC endorsement on your license with the Voyager. However a true trike is considered a car and the MC license isn't needed to ride one. Go figure... :-) Now what get's me to pondering is.... with the Voyager pulling a trailer would one need a trucker license because you're pulling a set of doubles??? On the rake I'm really confused. The RSV is low in the A$$ from the factory. When shorter dog bones are added it raises the stern and according to what I've read the steering get's easier?? So that's what I planned on doing to the Voyager to see if it would get a bit easier?? But... if it makes it squirrely maybe I'd be better off leaving well enough alone??

My favorite thing is the panic button on my truck's keyless remote for remembering which one is mine...in a 2 car parking lot.... :-)

I bet there are more 'old' bikers who don't want to give it up than riders who do so because they like the trike. You're a rare bird hummer. On the semantics of the what the Voyager is called, let's just call them 'Out Riggers'. That ought to settle the trike vs. 4 argument. For those that are interested there are some very explanatory videos on the Voyager web site. HERE That should give members who are snow bound a little entertainment between tossing logs on the fire....

Hmmm?? The last time I tried it, I came to a dead stop and kept my feet on the floorboards... and didn't fall over. I've even seen riders with full conversions, and they're capable of doing the same thing.... Hannigan does a big business in rake kits for their conversions?? Heavy steering?? Nah, couldn't be... One nice thing about the Voyager is if we find the Fountain of Youth we can go back to two wheels. If not the kids can enjoy a few more beers after we're gone....
